However, I remember the interviews of US Army officers in the Iraq war. One soldier I heard said the Paladin could get a fix on an incoming missile and put a round ON the launch site.

Anyone have knowledge of the Paladin and if it could be used by the Israelis to respond to the terrorists in Gaza ?

If I'm thinking of the same Paladin, it's a 155mm self propelled artillery piece. It's very accurate, and could theoretically hit a launch site like that while a missle was in flight. The Paladin itself doesn't detect the missle, there are radar systems that do that, then the fire direction center can send out the necessary info to put steel on target fairly quickly.
