With all the peeing in a bottle we have to do because DUmmies can't leave drugs alone, we now have a renewable source of energy.

I wonder what they use to power the electrolytic cell?
(I was intrigued by the OP so I asked gNads brain)
Here is a link to the Maker Faire Africa website, it has a better pic of the devices layout but I don't see a power source for the electrolytic cell which would be required to start the process.

I’m so tired of “skeptics†always “poo-poo-ing†the accomplishment of powering a device with something other than fossil fuels. FIRST OFF, it’s an amazing accomplishment to fuel a generator with urine, regardless of the need to have electricity at the front end for electrolysis…. maybe you can use solar or manual crank generation. SECONDLY, the success is in converting human waste into useful power, regardless of the need for liquid borax and electrical current at the start… you end up with less urine and more power!

You would generate more electricity by pissing into an impeller and generating electricity like a waterwheel. Of course, with all things it’s the thought that counts and not the results.

During the Civil War, the south was low in gunpowder ingredients. One of the components was nitre which can be distilled from urine. Wagons would roll through towns in places like New Orleans and collect urine from women's chamberpots. It would be distilled into nitre and voila the south could shoot a few more bullets. Some chamber pots actually had engravings of Union generals (Burnside comes to mind) in the bottom.
