Actor Brad Renfro, whose career began promisingly with a childhood role in "The Client" but rapidly faded as he struggled with drugs and alcohol, was found dead Tuesday in his home. He was 25.
Paramedics pronounced him dead at 9 a.m., said Craig Harvey, chief investigator for the Los Angeles County coroner's office. The cause of death was not immediately determined, Harvey said, but an autopsy could be conducted as early as Wednesday.
Renfro had reportedly been drinking with friends the evening before his death, Harvey said.
Renfro's lawyer, Richard Kaplan, said he did not know whether the death was connected to any problems with addiction.
"He was working hard on his sobriety," Kaplan said. "He was doing well. He was a nice person."

The kid was a good actor. Sad. So young.

I had to look him up in IMDB. I had never heard of him.

His first movie role in "The Client" was remarkable. The kid was in ever single scene of the movie (yet got 5th billing).
Dead at 25 is no way to go through life.

My first thought was "Who?".
My second thought was "Oh ****ing well."
I don't give two shits about someone whose got the golden path lined up in front of them offing themselves. I've got a very happy, satisfying life. I've never touched a single illegal drug. If these people need to melt their brains on that shit when they've got so much going for them, then good ****ing riddance.

If I remember correctly his life was messed up before he had fame. I am pretty sure when they "discovered" him he was a juvenile delinquent in Tennessee.

I met this kid twice, when they were filming "The Client". My dad was on the set. He was in fact, a troubled youth. He was being raised by his grandmother and had some minor scraps with the law. He was found by a casting director and plucked off the street for the audition.
Such a waste. Way too young.

So Britney Spears' name just moved up a notch on the grim reaper's list, huh?
Sorry. That was dark. Her life is such a train wreck, though, that no one will be the least bit surprised if she ends up the same.

Another vote for "who the hell is he?"
Never heard of him.
