Misinformed about I-502, man busted at Bremerton park
When the officer approached a car there, a door opened and "a plume of smoke came billowing out," according to a police report.
A man in the front seat of the car said that after Tuesday's election, pot is legal. "We saw it on the news," he told the officer.
The officer informed the man that Initiative 502 doesn't go into effect until Dec. 6, and even then it won't be legal to smoke marijuana in a city park.

BELLINGHAM - A woman beat her boyfriend over the head with a glass marijuana bong at a home early Sunday, Nov. 11, police said.
The couple was arguing at 1:30 a.m. inside their home in the 2400 block of Pacific Street when the argument boiled over, said Bellingham police spokesman Mark Young.
The woman, 28, spat on her boyfriend, then hit him on the top of his head with an 8-inch-tall glass bong she was holding, Young said. She ran off before police showed up and remains at large. Police have probable cause to arrest her.
