There were a number of the usual idiots saying we need more spending and more taxes, but one guy that seems to get a lot of air time despite his leftist leanings is saying the same.
I guess this is what Obama meant by "balanced".
Separately, Shiller said that with unemployment at 7.9 percent, the U.S. economy needs further fiscal stimulus to create jobs. He said increases in spending should be offset by higher taxes on the wealthy proposed by President Barack Obama to avoid enlarging the national debt.
“It would be tax increases Obama set on the wealthy, and at the same time, expenditure increases -- that’s a balanced- budget stimulus,†he said. “It doesn’t raise the national debt, but it stimulates the economy. We need something like that.â€

It would be easy to dismiss this guy but even Fox has him on periodically.
I guess this could also go in "Mind Numbing Stupidity", but so much of what the left does could go there as well. :-)

The wealthy of course being defined as those who make $250K a year. They live in houses like this:

The misfits however believe "rich" is limited to those individuals who live in houses like this:

(Note: this would be one of Oprah's houses)

'Balanced' (Or the numerous variations on 'Fair share') is a word devoid of any concrete meaning, particularly given that we already have an escalating tax structure (Sorry, the word 'Progressive' makes my skin crawl since it both implies improvement and is the label the primitive vultures apply to themselves). The only quantitative meaning it has would be to take from everyone who has more until everyone has the same, though of course that's exactly what the DUmmies want, right up until the cut line comes down to them.

Who the hell is Robert Shiller and why should I care what he says?
