Interior proposal would limit commercial oil shale development on federal lands in West
By Zack Colman - 11/09/12 02:07 PM ET
The Interior Department on Friday issued a final plan to close 1.6 million acres of federal land in the West originally slated for oil shale development.

The proposed plan would fence off a majority of the initial blueprint laid out in the final days of the George W. Bush administration. It faces a 30-day protest period and a 60-day process to ensure it is consistent with local and state policies. After that, the department would render a decision for implementation.

That has been a wet dream of liberals and Env. nuts so that the $40k Volts will be sold in massee. Problem with that is that people working at McDonalds, Walleymart or the average middle class worker can not afford that POS.

Better put on your long johns cause utility costs are going to rise this winter. Food and everything else will rise in cost also.

Which is at least $2 per gallon higher than it should be.

$200 a month to lease. Now if they could offer it without the tax payer subsidy and burning down your garage they might have something.

Even if they could afford the car, electricity prices are going to go up under 0bama's plans.

Has George Bush Sr's son's garage burnt down? Bush bought a Volt for his son. How many garages have burnt down? And did the garage owner sue? Or he didn't sue because he couldn't prove the Volt was responsible for the fire? If the answer to how many garages have "burned down" is "one," did the garage really "burn down"? And if so, did the fire marshal blame the Volt?

Sorry, but using "$5.00" as reference will keep $3.47 from looking expensive in this thread.
