Title: No matter what happens, we win
Post by: SSG Snuggle Bunny on November 06, 2012, 07:15:29 AM
I thought about posting this elsewhere but the DUmbasses need to see it as well.

I think Romney is going to win. The BGVs are still hopped-up as they were in 2010, the middle is falling away from Obama even more as nothing has happened to replace their 2010 disillusionment and now a fair percent of dems are abjectly embarrassed by Benghazi, F&F, OWS etc. With Bush the controversies were always external -- the GWoT -- and its hard to get too controversial over the likes of Saddam and al Qaeda. Obama, on the other hand, has brought the drama home and got it to sleep in the park for 9 months.

And regardless of tonight's result the GOP keeps the House and probably narrows the senate (ties are still a D win as the VP breaks ties). However, even then we'll peel off Blue Dogs whose faith is shaken. So, one way or another Obama has no legislative traction and 2014 is just around the corner.

But what if Pres. ****nugget wins? What if we are looking at 4 more years of this crap?

Assuming Obama sees his term to term, what is the worse he can do?

More Benghazis? He'll be lucky if he isn't impeached over the current one.

More debt?

He's spending a TRILLION dollars a year on welfare and hundreds of billions more for his cronies to develop solar powered unicorn farts. We could fight the GWoT for 10 years for what Obama spends to buy votes from his constituency...only to get "shellacked" in the off-year elections.

It cannot go on forever. He'll be lucky if the bond market doesn't collapse the day after he's re-elected. You'll see more credit rating downgrades. Reality will kick in hard. However, unlike Greece and Detroit the entire US is not made of leftists. Simple reality will kick in.

OK. So in less than 4 yrs our fiscal choices will be police, firefighters and the military or Obamaphones.

Well, there's no point in getting a SSDI check for Asperger's Syndrome if the streets aren't safe enough to walk to your local MMJ clinic.

So what will the Obamadrones do?

They'll either A) turn around and become self-reliant decent people B) sit there and cry...and starve or C) act out in such a way that ensures no leftist is ever elected within living memory.

Even a worse case scenario validates AND forces the conservative case for minimalist government.

Sure, we try to spare ourselves, our neighbors the pain of these lessons but sometimes a child's unquenchable curiosity demands that it play with matches. No, Obama cannot destroy America. If America can be undone in 8 years by the likes of this buffoon then the founders weren't as smart as we imagine nor its people worth preserving. The Lefties need their messiah, their singular personalities. How long can that hold up? What if our philosophy needed an unbroken series of Ronald Reagans for all time? How sad would THAT be?

Their's is the unsustainable myth. They do not have the power, the money, the people or the inherent stability to get what they want.

No matter what happens...

Pretty much plus the liklyhood of a recession if O wins in 2013-2014 will put more conservatives in Congress and end any dem chance in 2016.

Hence why it's an "open secret" in Albany that Dandy Andy Cuomo is privately pulling for Mitt.

An interesting thing I heard on WGY this morning--the communications director of Governor Number Nine was on, and he went into a somewhat detailed explanation of how Mitt Romney being elected wasn't the end of the world for Dems.  I thought that rather strange; as if he was warning people that Romney would win. :yahoo:

It really wouldn't.  The guy's really a Rockefeller Republican in a lot of ways.  Not exactly my cup of tea, but at least they believe in capitalism.

'Demographic' is the new 'racist' - The word is being used by the left to say the same thing.

In that case, I'm just glad to live in the ultimate gated community: Ft Bragg, NC.

While I agree SGT, it is going to be an ugly four years. Sequestration comes due in January, no one has the balls to deal with it, and the military is going to get gutted so that the skittle-shitting-unicorn-fart makers and freeloaders can get paid. I only hope we don't bite off more than we can chew and get our troops killed unnecessarily. But sadly, it will probably happen. And the ones who will wind up paying for it will be our soldiers, and marines. Does the name Task Force Smith ring a bell Dems?

The one, and I mean one, thing we will be able to say, are the four cruelest words in the English language (or any other one, for that matter)--

I told you so.

About what?  I lived through Obie's first four, I lived through Carter, I lived through Clinton's, I'll live through these next 4 years of hell without resorting to unprovoked violence or killing myself.

Yeah that, but I think if things go belly up for my job what I'm going to do is use libs as an example and I'm going to seek out people like willpitt and calpegs and take shelter on their land and in their homes. I mean what's theirs is mine if what's mine is theirs after all and both are doing well are they not? If I'm needy, I'm sure they will be good liberals and allow me to set up camp right there with  my family.  And if they don't, well it's occupy their homes in my opinion. :lmao:

Sentiments that echo my own (though I don't have his wallet):

Very nice words from Gabe below. Very nice.

But as a high-income-a/k/a-1%-American who has never cheated on his taxes before, I have another message.

****. You.

I've been paying AMT for, oh, five years now: 28% marginal on a lower base plus a state rate of 5.3%. The "Bush Tax Rates" that Obama talks about ... oh, wait. He forgot about the AMT. He made out like the "rich" were paying ridiculously low tax rates.

Well, if you're "rich" and still earn a living from real work and happen to live in a high wage/high tax state, this isn't the case at all. You've been paying the AMT too.

So welcome to your red-state tax increase, folks. Your blue-state brethren voted that you should be taxed more. And they're right! As it goes, anyway.

Because this folly won't fall on me. I'm at a high enough rate as it is. And the incentive to cheat just went way up. The IRS charges a much lower interest rate than I'd ever have to pay from holding "the government's" money for a while, so my income model just got another line called "tax float".

Arbitrage, 99%ers, do you speak it?

You like your big government, assholes? Pay for it. But I'll have a chair when the music stops.

I encourage all similarly-situated Americans to do the same.

You idiots that reelected Obama, and elected Warren and the like, can't vote yourselves an infinite slice of my wallet. I'll always be one step ahead of you.

A large amount of money will be moved to offshore tax havens between now and 12/31. Also, watch dividend-paying stocks. A ton of money's about to be distributed in advance of the return-to-Boooosh!!11! tax rates plus the new Obamacare tax on investment income.

Oh, and it's my birthday. Instead of spending it happily effing off, I'll spend it moving money. Point. Click. Done. So, happy.

Also, FWIW, Dow futures are down ~100 points on "hope" as I write this.

Pretty much what Ace said.  I'm maxxing out every legal deduction I can get my hands on, and inventing as many as I can get away with.

I'm ****ing DONE paying in excess of $30K a year in federal taxes, $6K (actually $12K) in SS taxes, etc., etc.  You think I'm gonna bust my ass for you worthless ****ing welfare queens?

Ya'll done ****ed up now.

The estate here is settled so as has been the plan for several year I am going to sell the farm and move to warmer and friendlier climates.

If and when the shooting starts I will be in the right place rather then having to escape to it.

Maybe you can sell it to some developers and turn it into vacation homes (or more likely, subsidized government housing).

Good luck.

Well I hope the "we want things" crowd is happy. With the implementation of Obamacare, the loss of the supposed "Bush tax cuts" my income is going to drop. I may or may not be able to pay my mortgage. I honestly don't know.

That's what I told my wife this morning.  Sad, ain't it?

I had a co-worker tell me that I should re-register as a Dem, for my daughter's well-being.

I was talking to coworker about my Obama sucks sticker being stolen off my truck but the Romeny/Ryan sticker they left. Another worker listening to the conversation said, "she was voting for obama because she wanted to keep her job"...

I was thinking how dumb are you, our company is moving to Mexico next year and we are all losing our jobs, thanks to obama and his policies, BUT I figured she was to stupid to even begin to understand.

So I guess she wins, and her job will now be safe because obama won this election. I just want to see the checks when she goes to the bank to cash them.
