This really upsets me!!
http://radio.foxnews.com/toddstarnes/top-stories/senators-thousands-of-troops-may-not-get-to-vote.html
If anyone should vote, it is our miltary!!
I am so upset!
That self serving prick in the oval Office, knows the military won't re-elect them. They know he doesn't support them and made empty promises to help them...
Don't get me going!!

This is what is wrong with our country. They will move mountains to allow the 0bamaphone people to vote, yet won't lift a finger to let our military vote. :banghead:
They are letting people in NJ vote through email why the hell we can't do that for our military is a damn shame.

I cant believe with all the technology we have they haven't developed a program for US Military personnel able to vote whether here or overseas. The soldier would have to set up an account on a special milutary voting app..They would have to provide, 3 forms of ID, a passport, photo id and their miltary ID with a case sensitive password, and vote which would go into a special database in the Pentagon. I hate for 1 that the C-in C has no respect for our miltary. If we had provided the money, artillery and other necessities , these occupations would hopefully be over...

This pisses me off, but it doesn't surprise me. It seems like it's been going on for years now.

I been saying this from the beginning. The Dems do this every election. They try to suppress the Military vote because they know how bad they hate the Dems ... The Dems are all for letting illegals, dead people, dogs, cats, Big Foot, fish, and puppets vote. But God forbid we let a military serviceman or servicewomen vote.... It is simply pathetic.

If New Jersey can set it up for their citizens to vote by email or FAX this close to the election, why can't it be done for the military?

It could be done, but there is no interest in doing so. If any citizen has earned a vote it is those serving overseas.

Uh huh.

With all that being said it still amazes me that some servicemen actually vote democrat. Not many, mind you, but enough to make me go WTF?? How can you support your vote being stifled by these people? :banghead:

A big part of the picture, certainly. It's about a 2/3 - 1/3 split, and you also have to keep in mind that the military is pyramidal and the base of that pyramid is young people who are mostly going to be 'One and done,' so they are not deeply committed to long-term military ethos or interest issues.
-
Whether it's 1 year or 20, It is still imoortant for them to vote. Case in point: If the Commander in chief, is not very supportive of the military, like the current one ::)., and the soldier gets wounded during active duty, the more likely his benefits will get cut...

To me CSS is cascading style sheets and my secret decoder ring is out being cleaned. How about a hint at what you mean cause I'm flyin blind on this one.

I agree. If anyone deserves to vote for their CIC, it should be the military. There is absolutely no reason for this. Even outposts have access to computers....so why is this so difficult?

Combat Service Support. Logistics and Supply.

Combat Service Support. Logistics and Supply.
Ah yes, REMs (rear echelon {ahem} malefactors)
-
Combat Service Support. Logistics and Supply.
Sadly, that makes a certain amount of sense. A Combat Service Support soldier who did one term and was no where near combat arms troops would DEFINITELY have a different experience than an infantryman who did 20 years.

The effective suppression of the military vote, normally a 3-to-1 Republican favorite, is a travesty BUT...
Has anyone here ever written a letter or called their Congressional representative to complain?
I haven't. When it becomes important enough to enough of us, the voter suppression will be stopped. Until then...

The Military Overseas Voter Empowerment Act. Look it up.
We don't need to complain to Congress. The requirement is already Federal Law. We need an AG who actually gives a rat's ass about enforcing the law.

I'm going go and get me an Obamaphone.
Just kidding. I'm putting my faith in God and trust that He is on top of things.

QFT.
Hell even the astronauts on the ISS were able to cast their votes. If we can figure a way for someone floating in a tin can a couple of hundred miles above the Earth in the vacuum of space to cast a vote for President then doing the same for Earth-bound men and women serving around the world should be a piece of cake.
