Hurricane-relief Guardsmen tossed out of armory - for Victoria's Secret show
Dozens of National Guardsmen, and Army and Air Force personnel who have been sleeping at Manhattan’s Lexington Armory in between hurricane-relief shifts are being booted — to make room for Victoria’s Secret models in anticipation of Wednesday’s runway show.
About 300 uniformed personnel have been bunking down at the armory at various times since Sandy hit.
But their numbers will be reduced to 60 by Wednesday for the event, which is featuring Rihanna and Justin Bieber.

New York City sucks.

Why would they hold a Victoria's Secret show in an armory????????????????? They are plenty of venues, but an armory??????????? Civilization is slowly dying and become increasingly decadent. I can imagine what it is like to live in the decline of the Roman Empire.

So who was the boob that thought about kicking our military out of the armory?

As far as I am concerned, Victoria's secret can go Pound Sand. That armory is being used in direct support of disaster relief efforts, not something frivolous like a fashion show. Wow, New York... You have people SCROUNGING food out of dumpsters, and this takes priority :banghead:.
If those models want to do something for a show, how about showing them filling sandbags, distributing food. helping with cleanup efforts. SOMETHING to show the people of New York and the world that they are a part of their city, not above it. It is narcissism like this that makes me thank God I have never wanted to live/ visit that liberal hellhole.

Someone had rented the Armory for the show and you know the show must go on. The Economy stupid. Tax breaks and a bit of bribes help.
Models, and gay designers out there filling sand bags for no money and the models all weigh in at 90 pounds at best. :lmao: :lmao:
You forget this is not a Rodeo where real men and woman would get on the job, pay or no pay. This was not a show of big trucks or even 4H where the kids would be helping out.
This is huge business where the clients will pay $80.00 for one bra that falls apart at first wash. I know woman that swear by Victoria's seems to be a secret vice, they look no different, smell no different and yet they get some kind of happiness wearing this stuff that no one else can see. ??????
Self indulgence, I guess, but it sells.
Makes no point to me, if I had the money to buy one bra and a fancy pair of skivvies, I would not go to buy a fur wrap to wear under a sweat shirt. Hell if I had the money I would buy the bra and skivie set and wear it OVER a T shirt and a pair of jeans. What's the fun of having expensive clothing if kept in a closet or under other clothing out of sight.

No need to be greedy.
I'm pretty sure the Guardsmen would have been happy to share the space.
