Disgraced ex PSU president has been formally charged for trying to sweep Sandusky's criminal child abuse under the rug.  Of course his lawyers are saying it's a witch hunt...

I saw this yesterday as it was being announced here in Happy Valley. This is great news. Although they should have charged him months ago. Once convicted, he will spend up to 40 years in prison. That isn't long enough as far as I am concerned.

I won't go into a tangent about how much I loathe Spanier, only to say that the couple of times I had the displeasure of speaking with him strengthened my disdain for him.

A hearing date on recently filed charges against three former top administrators at Penn State University is now set.  The Dauphin County Court Administrator's Office says, the preliminary hearing for former Penn State University President Graham Spanier,  former Athletic Director Timothy Curley and  former Vice-President Gary Schultz is scheduled for Thursday morning December 13, 2012 at 9 o'clock.  District Judge William Wenner will hear the case in Courtroom #1 of the Dauphin County Courthouse in Harrisburg.
