Who's taking next Tuesday off? I work for myself, so it's easy for me to bamboozle my boss when I need some time off during the week. Maybe if I'm nice I'll even take Wednesday off as well, either to gloat or to seriously take some deep breaths for the coming years of dystopia.
I'm betting on the GOP tsunami, though. In any case, I'm gonna work through the weekend to allow me my me time next week.
-
I am holding signs for local state races pretty much most of the day on Tuesday.
-
<<am dedicating next Tuesday and Wednesday to watching the elections.
No work planned, and even if some was, wouldn't do.
-
I don't think I have enough PTO to take Wednesday off. I'll either drown my sorrows or celebrate for a week Disney style 10 days from the election.
-
Work has been crazy this year, haven't had any time off (Currently have banked 100+ hours of vacation and accrue 80 annually.) Completing Open Enrollment Friday, clean up on Monday, and off the rest of the week. :yahoo:

I'd rather take Wednesday off and have considered it

If one could take only one day off, Wednesday, the aftermath, would be the better of the two.
-
I'm working. This literature won't appreciate itself!

Yes. I avoid the idiocy either way in the office since it would be my day in and I can watch du hopefully imploding all day. If all else fails I would do as decent folks do and probably breakfast with my mother and start planning thanksgiving dinner and that's even if it doesn't go how I want. Life goes on and my family is still here ready to do what families do. No medicating, no hiding, no misery.
-
Yeah, seeing that I am my own boss as well, I am taking Tuesday and Wednesday off.
-
I'll be off Mon-Thur, unless I get called in.
-
Not I: I have my 10th anniversary on the following Friday that has to take priority. (http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRAUqSM2ivOEH2uICQny8pAGXicE_4BBRVpo59y-3OeL8dj0DBFI-VM5V8)
(Fortunately my employer has a flexible innerwebs use policy, and most of the hilarity - including the impending DUmpCon1 - will occur after working hours anyway.)
-
Taking Wednesday off here and I will be signed in at DU :evillaugh:
-
My schedule is dependent on the nurse I'm shadowing, and fortunately that means that I'm off on Tuesday and I don't have to go in until 6:30 PM Wednesday. :-)
-
I have to work, but I'm usually up until around midnight.
-
Ok fine. I'm requesting next wed off lol
-
I work from a home office. I plan to watch both the election returns and the ensuing hilarity at the DUmp.
-
I get home around 11:30 Tuesday night and I'm off Wednesday, so I'll get to experience most of it. The only question is will I be drinking to celebrate or forget...

Same here. Wednesday is my regular day in the office though and I don't want to miss the shenanigans. Lol

Yes, that is the question.
As for which day to take off, most returns won't be posted until after the polls close anyway.

Related question: What news show will you be watching?
I'll be watching Fox most of the time, but will switch to MSNBC to see the meltdown when it happens. CNN and the networks will cry in their own Perrier bottles as far as I'm concerned.
EDIT: I'm going to also TiVo both MSNBC and Fox so I'll have a lot of entertainment value throughout the years.

I think we should start a pool for how long it will take for them to call the race in each state.

It all depends on who is leading.

I'll be watching the election coverage on http://www.theblaze.com. Of course, if Chris Matthews announces that he's going to commit suicide on the air, I'm an MSNBC fan all the way. :-)
