How soon until disease becomes an issue in some areas still under water?
Particularly in urban areas like Hoboken and Lower Manhattan? Places where the population is too dense to evacuate? Places where the best bet is to shelter in place? Places where the flood waters are a terrible stew of heating oil, gasoline, countless traces of unknown chemicals, and raw sewage?

Not a problem.
New York and New Jersey are ALWAYS a terrible stew of heating oil, gasoline, unknown chemicals, and raw sewage.
Things may be better - all that rain has diluted the stew.

1. Wait until homeowners get FEMA trailers while their homes are rebuilt.
The formaldehyde poisoning cases after Katrina were legendary.
Formaldehyde poisoning after Katrina was a crisis manufactured by trial lawyers.
New York/New Jersey scum are the people who fight to get aboard a wrecked bus.
They'll start filing claims against trailer manufacturers before the trailers are delivered.

Blue cities are already petri dishes overflowing with infectious diseases. MRSI, south-of-the-border tuberculosis, and antibiotic-resistant STDs.

Later than if you were to show up now.
husb2, stop asking such stupid questions, son. It's amazing you've lived as long as you have and that you've learned so little about these things simply from past experiences. I could understand a kid or a young teenager asking things like this, but someone who's your age??

Goes to DU instead of google to find the answer.
Common sense out the window.

Goes to DU instead of Google to find HIS answer, one that is both asinine and politically (in)correct.
DUmmies have elevated being wrong to an art form.

The sparkling old dude needs to open his eyes and become aware of something.
Why is it that such possible plagues, along with riots and other civil disorders, erupt from.....blue areas?
Wouldn't that tell the sparkling old dude something?

Coach, one would need a 34-ounce cluebat to tell his stupid ass anything. Several times.

How to avoid disease, toxic fumes and chemicals for DUmmies 101: Place clear plastic garbage bag over head and tie tightly around neck....do not remove until danger has passed....usually several days or more.

As old as the sparkling old dude is, you'd think he's learned something by now.
Corrupt political machines milk the people so as to enrich the bosses, not to provide for public sanitation, public safety, good roads, good education, good medical care.
Corruption costs.
One imagines that in Boston, for example, there'd be quite a few less hungry children if Barney Frank never had to be paid off from what's collected from the taxpayers.
Corruption costs.

It is unfortunate that Elisabeth Warren is not a public official there. She could teach them to grow maize, wash clothes at the river, trap and hunt.

It should tell him that he's not safe in his lily-white, 1%er neighborhood should the shit ever hit the fan in Baltimore; he'd get to see a real zombie apocalypse up close and personal.
Here's to hoping he gets to learn the hard way...

Yeah.
I'm hoping all the primitives who mourned the death of poor lil' Treyyvon get to see others like him up close when the post-election riots start.
It's long past time the primitives started feeling the consequences of their actions, rather than "other people" having to feel the consequences.

No way, unless he's running an electronics store with a showroom full of LED widescreens.
Even then, if he's more than a couple of blocks from the projects, he's safe.
The democrat base doesn't burn or loot very far from its nest.

Why is it that the red areas get all along with their lives after disaster with little to no federal government assistance (because Obama did not give it) and the blue hell holes fall into complete chaos demanding somebody else do something about it for them?
