Title: DUmmy "alarimer" wonders if she is too snobby

She's 44, and apparently considers herself to possess superior intelligence. ::)

Her breakups, inability to relate to other people is a recurring theme with this one:

I think I might be a snob
Or at least kind of picky when it comes to friends and more.

I spent some time on the internet dating sites, years ago, and I noticed that most people just don't do anything for me. I got responses from many people, but very few that I actually cared to meet. Now I suppose that's true of whatever method you use to meet people, but I also noticed that almost no one took the time to actually read my profile. I made a point of stressing that I am an atheist and liberal, but I would still get responses from conservatives and fundamentalists. Maybe they didn't care, but I do. Grammar, spelling, and bad writing just turn me off too.

The thing is, I like really smart, really interesting people. And most people, quite frankly, are not either of those things. So I guess that makes me a snob. So be it. I've always been like that. Too smart for my own good, I guess. But life's too short to spend time with people who bore you. Or to settle for someone just to avoid being alone. This is what I tell myself at least.

I did find two chapters of Drinking Liberally in my area, so I will probably be spending election night with them and either celebrating postponing the apocalypse for another four years or making plans to move to Canada. And I have a local group of heathens that meets every few weeks in our church, a local bar. So that helps too. 0

She puts out vibes screaming cheap, free or easy like most lib chicks do.  Miss Intelligent can't seem to figure that out yet.

Wasn't her 5 year boyfriend getting the milk for free too ?    :lmao:

If you have to ask, the answer to that one is invariably "Yes."

9. The dating sites scare me.

I get the impression that most of the women down here are looking for big burly men with tattoos who ride Harley's.

Of which you, obviously, are not one.

Welcome to life.

The truth about dating sites is that you generally have to wade through a lot of people you have no interest in dating to find one that you will date.  I'll admit, when I used dating sites I eliminated anybody who used poor grammar or spelling.  If you can't be bothered to hit the shift key in your first e-mail to me, then as far as I'm concerned, you aren't making enough effort to be worth my time.  Her problem seems to be more extensive than that though.  She has a serious superiority complex, and I doubt that very many people are going to be up to her standards.

I don't know how to tell people how I feel.
I don't know what it is. My conversations with anyone are inevitably superficial

For example, I recently moved cross-country for a job and I was just feeling lonely and stressed today, but I couldn't really explain it to my boyfriend, who lives in another state. I don't get it, it's like I just can't find the words. So our conversations are stilted and superficial like I said before.

I've always been like this, unable to relate to people the way I should, which means I invariably end up alone.

But wait.  What about this..

You can't find the words, and are unable to relate to people the way you should but expect others to be really smart and really interesting.

:panic:   Therapy girlfriend for the personalities living in your heard.  You may not be able to get rid of them, but you may find a way for them to all get along in peace and harmony.  :-)

I've been through my share of online dating sites and always see the same people.  It's like bar hopping.  The location may look different, but you always manage to see the same faces.

Nobody wished me a happy birthday yesterday on Facebook and I am (strangely) a little hurt by that.
They didn't call me either but I am more upset about the Facebook thing. I thought I hated Facebook.

Unless all my friends have unfriended me and I don't think that is true.

Sigh. Guess I'll go eat worms.

How the hell have we missed this misfit of society for DOTY???!!   She is a poster child for the DU.

Dang it, she's just too smart for her own good.  ::)

She's 44 and all bent out of shape over a birthday.  Good Lord.

There comes a time, at around the 40th birthday, that everyone should realize they have seen more birthadys than they have to look forward to.

She sounds depressing as hell.

She has complained about him, moved away to a differen't town and wonders why he has met someone else.  He's unemployed and now her feelings are hurt and her ego is all bent because he had the audacity to replace her with a new snuggle mommy.

Geeze.. I could have read the writing on that bathroom wall

Ah, I see the problem.

Hate to break it to you, alarimer primitive, but the males that fit your qualifiers already have boyfriends.

Yeah, online dating sites weren't for me.  Attending church helped me meet the guy I'm currently dating, but I don't think that would work too well for an atheist.

Prolly read somethin' like this with her name as a signature..................

People that write on Shit-House Walls,
Roll their Shit into little Balls,
Those who read these Words of Wit,
Eat those little Balls of Shit...

Sure seems to suit the elitist twat!

She needs to shoot a PM to DUmmy stevenumbers.

He'd be pitching a tent at her front door within hours.
