I have a very rich white friend that lives in an exclusive neighborhood in Aurora, CO
We were chatting on our cell phones last night and her landline never ceased to ring.
She said that it rings non-stop with political polls.
She has quit answering, but says it has gotten to the point of being ridiculous and she can't wait until the election season is over.
On the other hand, I live in one of the poorest counties in Texas. I have NEVER been polled. Not one time.
I guess they don't consider me a "likely" voter.

7. Are the polls deliberately targeting what they perceive as upper middle or upper class?
I have to wonder because my friend is strongly in the Obama camp and she is no longer participating in the endless polling. I have to wonder how many other Obama supporters have reached this level of fatigue?
I don't question the veracity of the teabaggers and the republicans--I know they will participate in each and every thing that is asked of them, because that makes them confident that "their guy" is winning.
Just a thought.

She has some health issues that preclude her from doing so, but she says her entire family is voting for Obama.

WHAT matters is if THIS is the Demographic that is being targeted for polling--because that would most definitely skew the polls.

Actually "white" is more statistical likely to vote TeaPubliKlan than "rich".

I did get 2 last weekend that said "Blocked" on the caller ID. But I don't answer those.

Once from a Massachusetts number, once from a Michigan number, once from a Washington number.
They asked for me specifically. I'm white, female, none of ya bidness how I live thank you. :-)
All 3 times I said yes, I am voting for Barack Obama. :lmao:

Same here. Planned parenthood (or soeone on their behalf) did call me several years ago saying they were taking a poll, I declined to take part.

1. There are VERY few full time jobs out there these days
and in our area, ANYTHING that opens up with full-time pay and benefits has already been promised to someone's relative, friend, etc and it is only posted for formality.
My daughter works 40 hours a week 3 weeks a month and 32 hours the 4th week...and is considered part time. And has been for 4 years.
The ONLY full time jobs are in management and most of those go to the guys that work there.

I have had several calls from a mixture of conservative orgs.
I did get a call early last week from Romney's MI campaign HQ's asking me to canvass door to door yesterday. I said yes, even though I thought I would be more helpful to Romney by campaigning for obama. A person answering the door seeing some biker type dressed in black leather trying to convince them to vote for obama. After seeing me, they would vote straight Republican.
Oh well! I shaved and got a haircut on Fri.
It better be worth it.
