LOl..found out how chimp spends his time nowadays...
Someone I know works for AFLAC (you know...that duck commmerical insurance)..and at their conference in Las Vegas last week guess who their guest speaker was...chimp!
He had a sit down with the prez of AFLAC in front of an audience. He talked about his post-prez days, how he misses being pampered, not having people waiting on him hand and foot (gasp..he has to WALK HIS DOG and do dishes).
The audience was forbidden from taking any pictures during the hour long sit down.
Apparently, the company owner has some connection to chimp and pickles because at their conference LAST year, pickles was the guest.
So this is how far he has fallen..from being Prez to insurance conferences. During an election year when you would THINK that his time would be filled going around stumping for the current repuke candidate!

From what I understand, he refuses to make political statements about Obama out of respect for the office of POTUS, maybe not the man in it, but for the office. That's class.

It used to be that former presidents refrained from criticizing those who came after them and to some extent also only rarely campaigned on behalf of others of their political party seeking office.
It ain't been that way since 1981, when Jimmy Carter started running around shooting off his mouth.
The two Bushes have been commendable exemplars of courtesy.

If so, that's probably nothing compared to the complaining that the Obamas will do after they leave the White House and can't treat its employees like slaves anymore. God, it must be a nightmare working for them, especially Moo- chelle. Then, of course, will be their howling about how they have to pay for their own vacations now.

Laura Bush...it's an unflattering nickname they gave her.
It relates to an accident she was involved in when she was a teenager in Midland. The passenger in her car was killed when she ran a stop sign on a dark road.
The DUmmies started the rumor she was drunk..."pickled"...when it happened hence the nickname.

Laura Bush enjoyed immense popularity among the American people during her husband's time in office, even as his approval ran low at times. As late as 2006 she was polling something like 82% favorable ratings. That had to include a lot of Liberals. She was a school teacher for at-risk kids and a former Democrat. She was against overturning Roe v. Wade. She had complimentary things to say about Hillary Clinton during the '08 Presidential primaries. She even defended the First Wookie during the flap over her "first time I've been proud of America" statement.
Yet in all their bitterness and hate, DUmmies still can't find anything to say about her but insults and vitriol, based on nothing more than her being married to GWB. There's no reasoning with people of that mindset.

So giving an informal retrospective on your Presidency to a US insurance gathering based on some social connection is terrible, but taking a million bucks and an undisclosed number of hookers to tell Chinese grocers how to navigate American politics to help themselves out is good?
