enough or racist enough to vote for Romney, why on earth do I want you in my life? I've cut off 3 family members and 5 Facebook friends and I feel so much better. No more insanity in my life. Let them wallow in their own crap. I need some fresh air and sunlight!!!

Odds are they are sick of you too. Instead of trying to respect that maybe someone else can have a different opinion, you spew all this crap at them. Hell I'd stay away from you if I was them.

2. I did it in 2008 and it worked out just fine.

They think they are punishing repukes, when it's the repukes who are thrilled to be rid of them.

3. Me too

I have only unfriended one so far. I called him when he made racist sounding comments and he wouldn't back down.

Racist sounding? What did he use one of the MSNBC dog whistle words?  :rotf:

6. Here was my comment in another thread about repub acquaintances.

I'm also starting to question friends & acquaintances who vote for them. If you know about this & still support them, shame on you. If you don't know about this & are an ignorant, low-info voter, shame on you. Either ****ing way, if you are a repub, shame on you.

Yep I'm sure your repuke ex friends miss you.  :mental:

Yes cut off family and friends. We all know politics is the end all be all of relationships with people. It's not like people have different opinions or anything.

Yeah, it's pretty bad.

I'm old enough (pre-1980) to remember when differences in politics were about as important as differences in choices of flavors for ice cream.

It got ugly after November 1980; before then, it was all good.

They believe the lies they tell about how us conservatives are, so if they think we are so evil it makes sense that they want no relationship with the type of people that they claim we are.

I also think it has to do with when they get to know a conservative and don't see all the characteristics they made up about us, it blows their tiny minds and they can't compensate so they run.

Sounds like a blessing for the saner relatives and acquaintances, now they don't have to figure out a tactful way to distance themselves from the fat hairy fag (Which is pretty much what 'bear' means to the creeps).

In over 52 years i have never lost an acquaintance much less a friend over political ideology until this year. A super moonbat started a email campaign when the whole sandra fluke thing happened. Everyday there was a vile email in my box about what a bad person I was for being a conservative. Have not communicated with her sense. She lost at least 5 other people during her insanity spree in the spring. This person is both a drama queen, a taker, and a blamer. IOW, your typical leftist moonbat.

I defriended a former coworker because I wasn't going to take any of the "Romney is racist" crap.

I lost an online friend not long after 9/11. She was a Canadian moonbat living in Phoenix. She always knocked the US but I ignored it for the most part. We had a fight over taxes and she called me selfish for not wanting to pay more. I met her on a parenting site (iVillage) for expectant mothers. We were both due the same month. I met her in real life when my husband and I came to Phoenix to help his parents move back to Tulsa. Then I even flew out to visit her by myself, that was pretty much the end of our friendship. I hated being there so I left early. Not long after we got in the tax fight and that was the end of it.

A pretty popular pastor that I am friends was preparing a message on people un-friending people  due to political views. He said this year had to be one of the worst he has seen and many people have came to him about this. He pastors a church in East St Louis and directs a couple inner city churches. This guy is a smart man, and an active man. Sometimes too active.

My reply to him was quick.

"What does politics have to do with love and what does politics have to do with church."

I don't think Jesus would quit loving us or being our friend due to who we vote for. Only DUmmies do that. Now if the person is an obnoxious whack-job.....I might still care about them... I forgive and forget about them, lol

When you start cutting off friends and family due to their choice in political parties then you are no long a member of a political party. You now officially belong to a cult.

One day the Democrats who post at DemocratUnderground.com are going to stop bitching long enough to actually READ DemocratUnderground.com. When that happens I wonder if they will be hypocritical when they realize they've been describing themselves for years OR will their delusions, mental illnesses, and overall stupidity prevent them from seeing the truth?

Coincidentally, those tree family matters have stopped loaning the DUmmie money, and the five Facebook friends outright refused to loan them money.  I think the same is probably true for most DUmmies that break ties with family members.

I've chosen to avoid politics altogether on social networking sites such as Facebook - because I know some angry, hateful leftist will attempt to weaponize the Hatch Act, and run a smear campaign with it. So, I post here under a pseudonym.

And it pisses me off, because there are a half-dozen leftists that are all over the missus because she isn't supporting Obama. And I really REALLY REALLY want to smack them down.

The members of my family are overwhelmingly liberal. We have never had a problem getting together and having fun.
We just don't talk politics. A family that loves each other is able to rise above such things.

Incidentally, most of my family are voting for Romney this year.
and that goes for a lot of democrat voters. This will be a fun thanksgiving.

I have, politely. The problem is the ringleader is an older female moonbat relative on her side. Definite conflict of interests scenario in the making, especially if I get too involved.

If the missus ends up firing back with both cannons, I'm good with that - but I don't want her to feel that I pressured her into it.

Most of my friends are conservative.  A good number are more conservative than me.  I do occasionally go rounds with a couple of my cousins who come up with moonbattish nonsense.

Not fantastic to be honest. :(

I've been sick the last few months and no-one knows what's wrong yet, but I've been worse the last few weeks. That's another topic for another day though when I feel the need to complain maybe :)

I went to a Halloween party tonight. Several people there. One guy that was there runs a popular race track that includes a Ron Fellows driving school. His wife is from WI & IA...a few others were from the Midwest also. A couple people were from near Chicago. We all had lots to talk about and shared a lot of laughs. It was fun.

Not one person mentioned politics. DUmmies seem to go out of their way to talk politics....But when politics decide if you have to work for a living and pay your own bills, I guess that makes it a priority.

I did make one comment when a dog jumped up into my lap....I told the dog..."I need to get you registerd to vote" everyone laughed..  :lmao:

My beloved sister and her talented but introverted husband are both pretty moon-batty, and my wife sort of a Blue-dog Dem.  I suppose my sister is more of Leftist Libertarian and I'm more a Conservative Libertarian, but whatever.  I love them all dearly, and while we may talk about issues of the day, we just don't delve into partisan politics of the day.  The relationships are more important than the politics.
