Here is the great communicator; one of the greatest Presidents in history (The greatest in my lifetime); one of my heroes in his debate with Jimmy Carter. It is a good one. I read the transcript, but it is so much better watching it.

Barbara Walters in a moderator in this. She is so young...

There are a lot of comparisons between then and now. Wow ..

I remember my Government teacher in High School having us watch this still makes me proud to re watch and confirm why I am a proud conservative

I watch this every year at least once. 


I think what makes this debate so great is that we all know what happens in the end.   :cheersmate:

This one is from 1984, but the footage from :27-1:10 in on this one is perfection.  The general attitude of the newscasters, the explanation of the map, and finally the close-up of that speck of blue that looks like a flea on the rest of the country.  :rotf:
