I have faux news blocked on my internet router.

When I installed it, I was going through the set up wizard and there was an option to block urls.
Just to test it, I entered 'foxnews.com' and have not had to look at it since (http://www.democraticunderground.com/emoticons/happy.gif)

A lot of TV and converter menus allow you to select what channel to start up with.

 Try setting it to MSNBC some time.

Faux is blocked at home...

We are on a tiny road trip to Sedona and Zion National Park.

On the remote...

Hit the MENU button. Depending on the model, you will find areas like AUDIO and VIDEO and possibly parental controls. You should find a CHANNEL BLOCK or CHANNEL ADD or DELETE. You need to know the Faux News channel number then block or delete.

I put the parent lock on the big screen tv at our Eagles Lodge.

I was left alone with the remote just long enough to do it.  It caused a little bit of a stink too.  We bought that from a local independant aplliance place and eventually their tech fixed it.  I never asked just how, that would give away it being me that did it maybe.  Either he replaced the chip or got their tech support to override the PW.  It was funny though.  The half-wits were without FOX "News" for at least a month.  That is mostly the old day time drunks that are into it.  Later on it's all sports or the music is cranked up.

With Cable boxes parental control feature.....If,while idly flipping channels I run across it,what I see is a blue screen asking for a password.....Much more factual and informative than faux anyway....

I went to a restaurant today that's usually has FoxNews playing on the tv. Today it had the Communist News Network. I figure a democrat much like the members of the democrat party that post at democratunderground.com must have bitched about having to hear the truth.

Of course, I would think that maybe even CNN doesn't spread enough misinformation for the democrats at democratunderground.com.

I know I have one cat that doesn't like CNN. He's almost as communistic as the democrats at democratunderground.com. He's also almost as lazy as the DU bunch. He so lazy he won't even meow. He'll sit around until another cat meows and just nod his head.

In Piaget's theory of cognitive development, by age two children develop the concept of object permanence. That is, an understanding that objects continue to exist even though they cannot be seen or heard. DUmmies obviously failed to pass through this sensorimotor milestone.

But seriously, if there's something on TV or the net that I don't want to see, I just don't click on it. The fact that DUmmies feel they have to either block threads or lock out TV channels which have information that might disturb them at the very least demonstrates profound immaturity and lack of self-control.

At the same time they tout themselves as the most intelligent, informed and wise people on the planet.

Despite the DUmmie's detailed directions on how to operate the remote, typically, hotels don't give that much control to the guest.  The TV service is purchased as a package for the entire building.  You can get adult channels blocked, but the front desk has to do that. 

So, as usual, the dumb demokrat who posts at democraticunderground lied, and the other DUmmies lapped it up.  They're so gullible.

Their response to Fox is bizarre to the point that I'm not even sure I can laugh at it any more.

They seem to be scared of it, as though it will jump out and bite them with a conservative virus unless they block all connexion with it.
