You know, maybe I was too-heavily influenced by Lord Trevor-Roper's The Last Days of Hitler, read at too young of an age (I think I was 9 or 10), but I'm starting to seriously doubt the sanity of the primitives on Skins's island.
It's turned into a Wolkenkuckkuckensheim over there, a lurid grotesque cloud-cuckoo-land.
It's unreal.
That the primitives have always been delusional is a matter of record, and they've had some pretty wild moments, but as of now, late October 2012, man, I've never seen Skins's island so devoid of reality as it is now.
I wonder if the primitives might explode in an orgy of frenzied madness before the elections; to me, it seems as if they're getting very close, any minute now.....
A berserk primitive is not a pretty sight.

I said "controlably insane," as a good number of them do take their meds properly.
-
I voted off the walls. It makes sense that there is so much insanity at the site where democrats post at democratunderground.com, most of them are big users of the choom.

I dunno.
Imagine walking into a concrete nuthouse. Rather than walking around on the main floor among the primitives, I'm walking on a "balcony" high above them, out of their reach and possibly even unseen. I'm looking down to the main floor, and what I'm seeing is all sorts of panic and disorder and hysteria and bloodshed and finger-pointing and the wiggle-waggle of armpits among the congested hordes below.
I hope to God they're put out of their misery soon; either by their own acts or by other primitives.
Damn, the primitives are nuts.
-
I voted "Off the Walls". I think that the DUmp denizens should be forcibly confined IRL, and subjected to a new treatment I've heard about for delusions of adequacy. It's called "water boarding". :-)

But lately, the primitives seem to be nuts more than they've ever been.
And remember, franksolich watched the primitives in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010, when they were nuts enough, but now they're descending to even lower levels.

I'm really fearful--no, actually, I'm kind of looking forward to it--that the primitives this time are going to go too far in their self-destructive acts, lessening the burden on Mother Gaia a little bit.

I voted "off the walls"....I have never seen so much insanity as comes out of DU....
-
I voted "Off the walls" even though some do take their meds.
My reasoning: Not even other democrats liberals want DUmp monkeys in their midst. DU is a place to corral the worst so normal people are not scared away from the regular sites.
Look at what they believe, the uncontrollable rage, fear, and desire to kill...Yes insanity is very much a part of the DUmmie thought process. I don't say such things lightly. They really are insane. this is why you cannot allow liberals any sort of power...the insanity will come out.
DU are not the harmless insane types. They want to kill. They fear and loathe the freedoms we love. Insane.
-
I voted "off the walls". Talking about the members of the Democrat Party who post at DemocraticUnderground.com is kind of like when people talk about serial killers.... "They seemed so nice. Kept to themselves, raised gerbils and petunias....who knew?"
Also because "solipsism" wasn't an answer.

The primitives have had their "moments" in the past, but it just seems to me there's never been this intensity of insanity even during the heights of those other times.

This is the first time we have observed them getting ready to lose the White House. They aren't as stupid as they seem to be, they know deep down inside that their preezy is failing, and they also know that the policies they believe in will never work, and will never be supported by the majority in this country. So instead of just accepting reality, they slip further and further away each day. For those of us who observe them, we recognize this as a descent into insanity. I suspect that after Romney wins we will look back at 2001 through 2009 as the time when they were nice. The hate is going to be off the charts, the Secret Service is probably going to have to move in to $kimmer's house in order to protect our new president.

But just like so many others with blood-lusts, the primitives'll end up destroying themselves.
I hope my fellow alum Skins posts the "suicide hot-line" telephone numbers.
Or, on second thought, I hope Skins forgets to.

My biggest problem is that since I spend so much time observing the primitives on their natural terrain, Skins's island, I tend to absorb sme of that madness, and have to back away.
I used to amble around Skins's island for hours at a time; the past few weeks, I've just darted over there, and just as quickly came back from the madness. I have no intention of losing my sanity.

Oh man, I'm really sure of that.

Gamg, I've got one phrase to say . . .
"Mole incitement." I'm looking at them, too. They are sane, even if they don't necessarily act it.

The only reason I would agree with this statement is that assuming that they aren't sane would prevent them from receiving the earned consequences of their actions, especially after the November elections when they themselves expect to go totally apeshit on the evil rethuglikkkan society which has denied the Holy WON of Chicago his rightful place in the universe. Courts of law tend to coddle moonbats if they get declared "insane".

That's why I voted totally insane. At some point, rational people acknowledge failure and look elsewhere. Then again, that would punt them out into the (D)Ullard lagoon with a lovely tombstone.
They are faulty human beings, pure and simple. Bad wiring.
EDIT:

Yes and no. They earn the consequences -I give you the last four years- they just can't wrap their tiny little synaptic crap factories around them. They don't acknowledge the failure thus, to them, it doesn't exist. Unfortunately, we get the drive-by consequences also.
That's insanity.

I voted "controllably insane", but I don't expect it to last once President Romney is sworn into office.

I really think it will be worse than under Bush.

Question: how insane are the primtiives?
off the walls 7 (70%)
insane to the maximum 1 (10%)
controllably insane 2 (20%)
not insane but quirky 0 (0%)
not sure 0 (0%)
the primitives are sane 0 (0%)

My theory is, like the emperor's new clothes, they all know he is naked, but none can say for fear of being cast off the island. Thus they maintain a stiff upper lip, reassure each other it can't happen and then in the shadows of their mind go quietly insane knowing the truth of the situation. Madness ? Yes they are being driven mad by the very system of standing in the dock among their peers. Who will say, "the emperor has no clothes"?

You might remember that during the earlier part of the summer, I was engaged in OSC.
I'm not looking for credit or anything, but I suspect OSC had something to do with the proliferation of successful moles.
But whether 5%, 10%, 25%, 33%, of the credit, I dunno.
At any rate, it's all good; something worked.

It wouldn't matter if the percentage was .0000000001%. As long as it worked. :fuelfire: :yahoo:

They are as insane as anyone who substitutes a beleif in fantasies for reality.

I voted to the maximum but only because batshit wasn't a choice. :-)

25. You see, faith and patience, is too late.
THEY have destroyed the planet and the 'harvesters', e.g., The Koch Bros, are encouraging and accelerating that end with only Clarence Thomas to stop them. I only take solace in that I'm 60 and not 20. If I were 20, I'd be considering a career of 'suicide bomber'.

Does anybody have any predictions on how this might affect this year's DOTY nominations?
I'm thinking we'll see some unexpected nominees this year, based solely on their post Nov-6 actions.
-
Off the wall. The bouncy epidemic there should be studied by a team of psychiatrists.
-
I voted Off The Wall. I tend to picture the person behind the posts, and what I see is anger. They see their New, New Deal guy slipping away. The anger is so apparent (just look at ANY Twitchy political post) that my Romney/Ryan yard sign, and bumper sticker are coming down/off on election day.

I thought there'd be a whole slew of primitives new to the Top DUmmies of 2012, and thought they'd start popping up earlier in the year. I expected (and alas publicly stated) that probably about seven of the top ten would be 0bamaites never before recognized.
Each passing day it's shaping up my prediction was wrong, and so I quit making them.
Now it looks as if there might still be a surprise or two, but I dunno.

I remember you making that prediction, and trying to figure out what would be the reasoning. I now believe you to be correct.
From the time I spend over at Skin's, I see a lot of the bigger primitives trying to subtly reassure each other that the election isn't as close as it is. If Romney wins, we'll probably see those bigger primitives flip their lid in a run-of-the-mill sort of way.
The other kind of primitives I am watching over there are the ones that don't post as often, and (to my knowledge) have never made the DUmpster. Their posts are very nervous, and seem to be more desperate with each passing day, looking for reassurances that Obumbles will win.
Some of those no-name primitives are bound to have some sort of magnum blowout on election night if Romney wins.

You know what Nietzsche said, frank: "...when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you."
-
I went with controllably insane, since as long as the government largesse keeps rolling in they remain docile.
Please repost this poll after election day, I might want to change my answer.

I never saw that quote, but it's right on target.
-
I never saw that quote, but it's right on target.
It's part of a larger quote, which is one of my Meditations (a Stoic thing):
"He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you."
