Never did see the bride and groom. (probably a good reason for that...)
The caterers brought a big sheet cake. They just shoved it off its tray onto a dirty old table top. There were lots of plates available, but they ignored them. No table cloth, just a dirty unwashed table top. They didn't bring silverware either.
The main hall was haunted, but a ghost that looked like Charles Barkley. I was so startled by that I woke up!
Bizarro dream. But all my dreams are strange.

You do know acid belongs in your battery, right?

Symbolism here. The cake is something that is a symbol of good times, weddings, birthdays and anniversary's.
Dirty table symbolises filth and repulsion.
Plates symbolise the intention to partake of the food. Absence of silverwars represents the inability to partake of the cake .
Wrap it all up and it comes down to a gala occasion and hopes for the future being destroyed by it's surroundings. It was those, the caterers working in the background that set this all in place.
Put in political terms, Romney wins big time and we who rejoice find that all his work could be destroyed by the caterers who we seldom notice screwing everything up so no one can get any benefit from the cake.
Your ghost, was he laughing or crying ????

Charles Barkley was mad, pi$$ed, ticked off. Don't know why.

Maybe we should have a dream thread. :-)
I always dream I'm at work. I retired 10 years ago. Unfinished business ?

Did you get hold of some bad mini tacos?

For what it's worth I've noticed that if a dream gets too weird I tell myself (in dream) that "I must have fallen asleep".
It's only happened 2 times that I remember.
Oh and J P Sousa, I would read that thread and probably contribute but it would also probably create an whole new line of bad dreams for some folkes.

If I was in charge of a wedding reception, it would look a lot like my dream funeral. (http://www.conservativecave.com/index.php/topic,79763.msg972106.html#msg972106)

Was it not Abraham Lincoln that told family he had a dream of his death and funeral just a few days before he was shot ????
Then to the scientist that had a dream that unlocked the DNA question ????
Dreams are our alternate reality, in some we can fly in some we interact with the long dead. Interesting science.
Some say they never remember their dreams but those around them tell them what they said in sleep talk. Beware if you have secrets from your partner.
Why do so many drugs including nicotine patches have a warning about vivid dreams???
Then the Day dreams this is really weird, fully awake and functioning at a job that is tedious and boaring and out of no where in your mind you are riding an elephant in India or dancing in the rain in Paris. I myself and many others have experience having someone come in and touch our shoulder to speak to us that causes us to literally jump back from one reality to another.
There are sleep centers that try to find out what is going on with patients that cannot sleep or over sleep. Some learn to control their dreams, if a good one, some can get up and go pee and head back to bed to continue the dream.
Then there are the so called Night terrors that some children get, what is going on here I do not know but the children waken up screaming after 2 hours of sleep.
Interesting life to live between the awake and the sleep time. Two different worlds, two different reality's. All wrapped up inside the mind, and notice most animals also dream, even as I was told some fish dream.
strange stuff.

I have found out that lots of coffee when going without sleep causes very weird dreams when you finally do sleep.

I find when I eat too close to bed my dreams are strange
That's why I eat in the kitchen. :rimshot:

That's generally the culprit with me. Dinner at 8, bed at 9.
