Get Ready for the Romnesia Bounce. Predict the impact!
Finally, the Obama campaign has been able to articulate their attack on the Republican Candidate in a single word.
After the President first used the term in Virgina yesterday, Romnesia became a social network sensation. It became the most mentioned word on Twitter and was quickly repeated by blogs and major news organizations throughout the nation. Even Fox News felt obliged to report it and rant about it. Damaging to the credibility of Mitt Romney, the comical aspect of Romnesia turns his many positions into a joke that has gone viral. Already, there are 88,300 Google News results for Romnesia.
Finally, the message that Romney is a man who cannot be trusted is being communicated to millions who had not previously noticed. The term turns Mitt Romney into the butt of a joke for millions of discussions about the newly recognized disease. And it turns Mitt Romney into the butt of jokes. Of course, that won't do anything to change the minds of hardline Republicans or Obama haters, but this is a way of getting through to other low information voters who had planned to vote Romney or are undecided.
The question is, how damaging will Romnesia be to the Republican candidate? Will Romnesia now be contained, halting the spread of further outbreaks, or will it kill Mitt Romney's campaign? And will it give Obama a bounce?

Every two weeks or so, the DUmmies celebrate the latest thing that will spell Romney's doom, yet they aren't working.
Come on DUmmies, if taxgate, haircutgate, puppygate, and Romney fired some guy and gave his wife cancer didn't work do you really think some cutsie term is going to influence people? I realize that low information voters like you, will think this is something huge, but people who actually think beyond cutsie terms and slogans will not be influenced in the least by this, well other than to strengthen their resolve to vote for Romney.

Then he did not coin it.
No more than he was a deserving recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
Lord but I wish there was a viable progressive political party in this country.

I guess the dullard OP think just because something is talked about a lot it must be a good thing. Sheesh.

I can see the news now:
How damaging will Romnesia be to the Republican candidate? Probably not nearly as damaging as the Obamaconomy will be to the Democrat candidate.

For Romney, who has gotten a 1-2 point bounce out of it. :hyper: Suck on it, primitives.

Opposition to the Narrative® shall not be tolerated, by the people who consider themselves the most tolerant on earth.

Gov. Romney is DOOMED. Look back on how many elections have been decided by the use of a childish merger of the opponent's name and some other useful word. It's a never-fail tactic. Gov. Romney is doomed. DOOMED.
-
Oh look, another "Romney Is Toast" moment.
Just like the 8,472,094 "Bush Is Toast" moments leading up to the 2004 election.
Do wake me for the next one.

Oh my God, it got mentioned on twitter! Everyone pack it in. We're finished! :panic:

Hey DUmmies, Barrack Obama has done nothing to fix the economy. He spent two years, when he had one party fiat, parting and pushing an unpopular healthcare insurance package. He spent huge amounts of money on a "stimulus" that did nothing but pay his political support, and never seems to have stimulated anything. He stalled on approving items that would have had a direct impact on the economy. Rather than actually negotiate with Republicans, he and Dingy Harry have refused to pass a budget, largely because any budget would damage the Democrats politically.
All in all, Obama has been a real pain in the ass. You could say, as Mark Levin did, that America has a painful case of Obamaroids.
See, DUmmies. We can come up with cute names, too. Ain't this fun.

And then failed to file his legally mandated quarterly reports on what he did with the money. Why Issa didn't start calling for an investigation 6 months ago amazes me.

Gee maybe we should try something like that.
Obama-roids.
Barack-alypse
Obama-geddon
Can we add to this list?

Oldy but a goody, Obamanation.
Of course this new word is going to switch voters because they do not have a job, gas and groceries have doubled, and health insurance has gone up $2500.
Keep up with the slogans there sparky.
-
I've never seen so many stupid slogans during a campaign as I've seen this campaign season from the Democrats.
BTW, OT, Splashdown everytime I see your siggy I can't stop :lmao:.

Uh Oh!

Media Elite Knock Obama for 'Snarky, Belittling' Campaign
The Obama campaign's tone right now--snarky,belittling--seems off for the closing days. Like McCain's "celebrity" attacks. Kind of flailing.
Terry Moran (@TerryMoran)
@jpodhoretz @markhalperin Agree--not the close. But it doesn't feel very "forward" to me. Not confident. Not presidential. Kind of peevish.
Terry Moran (@TerryMoran)
@jpodhoretz @terrymoran Another non-rhetorical question: What are examples of campaigns in which that has worked as a closing message?
Mark Halperin (@MarkHalperin)
@lobsterstyle @markhalperin @terrymoran call me naive but I think persuadable voters are moved by ideas/character traits. Not snark/pop
Ron Fournier (@ron_fournier)
Obama probably should not have done "Romnesia" himself. That's what vice presidents are for. Presidents should be big.
Roger Simon (@politicoroger)
But the real problem is that Obama's run out of nonsense to hurl. That's why he's left with "Romnesia" and binders. Certainly, the corrupt media's been happy to go along with any nonsense Obama offers them, but guys like Halperin aren’t stupid. They know this silliness only serves to diminish the president and won't move a single vote. Moreover, they know it likely means that the campaign is panicking over internal polling that shows it all going the wrong way.
Winners look like winners.
Losers look like losers.

I can only imagine how that would have turned out, with Uncle Choo-Choo behind the wheel, steering that narrative.
-
Yeah, today when I paid $3.71 a gallon for gas, I reflected on the fact that we have the coolest President Preezy ever, and he snap! said Romney had Romnesia. Then I went home, remembered that I want a competent President that wasn't auditioning to be an American Idol judge and sent as much $$ as I could to the Romney/Ryan campaign.
-
Barack-alypse
High 5! Thanks for adding to my vocabulary.
-
"Romnesia" is what they think is going to win it for king zero? It's childish, DUmmies. That's why you love it so.
OT, but while we're at it: This "binder" gate nonsense. What in God's name sent you people into a hysterical episode over this? It's a filing device for retaining useful papers such as resumes for future reference. I myself was a woman in a binder, or file, and got my job because they liked my resume enough to hang onto it.
Stop being insane.

Karin, Karin, Karin . . . that's similar to asking them to spoon out the ocean with a ladle. Pointless. Conjures up images of this:

I think he coined it last week, the media is picking up on it now :-)

I predict a national drop for 0bama of 2 points and he loses in polling Colorado, Florida, Virgina, North Carolina, and Wisconsin.
