You do know however that I'm trying to figure out a way to discourage the primitives from coming here to the DUmpster.
It inhibits their primitive behavior when they notice decent and civilized people are watching them.
I'd just as soon the primitives be their natural selves, as if we don't exist at all.
We've got a case of the primitives watching us watching the primitives, and I'd just as soon it go back to simply us watching the primitives.

Well, frank, I was able to observe the creatures in their natural habitat for a good long while on this one. It was only when their campfire was pretty much down to its embers that I DUFUed it and they took notice. I think that's a bit of a difference between the DUFUs and the DUmpster here. PJ and I try to let a thread build up and run its course before we DUFU it (we have to make sure we'll have enough material to DUFU), whereas here at the Cave, people tend to point out a campfire farily soon after it's been lit and then track it as it progresses. One way is not better or worse; they're just different.

That's one way to look at it, but you can make an argument the other way.
It's a lot like zoos.
Modern, politically-correct zoos always try to create as normal a habitat as possible for their critters.
Big jungle-like enclosures for the great apes, baobab trees and tall savannah grass for the big cats, etc..
So when you go to these modern zoos, you need binoculars and endless patience to see the animals.
A tiger may spend all afternoon sleeping under some kind of big palm frond where all you can see is the tip of his tail.
I hate modern zoos. When I go to the zoo, I want to see critters, up close and personal.
When I was a kid, all the really exotic zoo animals were in cages maybe six by ten or twelve feet, where they paced back and forth.
You were assured of getting a real close look at every animal in the zoo. DUmpmonkeys are no different.
