Are we being set up for another election theft??
I know others have mentioned this but I have not given it much credibility....until now. These recent poll numbers seem to have turned on a dime. I cannot believe people change that quickly. You cannot be for Obama one day and for Mitt Romney the next. You may be "undecided" but people do not change their support in that manner, in my opinion.
What is the psychological impact of polls? Obama supporters discouraged? Romney supporters encouraged? Or would some fence sitters simple decide that their vote isn't needed if there is a big lead in the polls for one candidate or another? One thing for certain, this is no time to be discouraged. If this is their game, we cannot let them succeed.
I hope we do not have to go thru another election where Republicans and the Supreme Court decide that the people of any state, not just Florida, cannot honestly count their own votes. We cannot tolerate another such election.

I think they should have disqualified the whole state of Florida in 2000. And that's what they should do this time if it can't be resolved without the SC horning in. Then the most with electoral votes is the winner no matter if it's still below 270.
So you are advocating not counting all the votes?

I will NOT roll over and allow a Rmoney/Lyin' Presidency to be forced on me. I will not. I will do whatever it takes.
We, as a people, rolled over twice before: 2000 and 2004, and look what it brought up. Two illegal and immoral wars that almost bankrupted us, a recession where many of us lost our homes and our livelihoods. And most importantly, we lost our way as a people.
NO! I will not roll over. I will not allow old, rich, white men to steal another election. NO!
NO! I will not allow the American Taliban to dictate women's rights and health issues!
NO! I will not abandon Seniors, the poor and students to be used and discarded!
NO! I will not allow the Military Industrial Complex to kill any more American kids because of greed!
NO! I will not allow the Petroleum Mafia to continue to poison our planet!
NO! I will do everything I can to make sure that human rights is more than just a catch phrase!
NO! I will not allow corporations and their sycophants to control this country! NO MORE!
I will do whatever it takes.

13. Obama has
95% of the black vote, this isn't a racist figure, Romney's NAACP "you people" quote killed him.
87% of the Latino vote, Arizona had a lot to do with the lack of support from the Latino organizations.
57% of the Women voters, probably higher, I don't believe female republicans will vote Romney/Ryan blindly.
81% of the educated voters, a staggering amount.
Just don't see how Romney is going to compete with those solid/fed up american voters.

Okay who's mole is that?

Rumor has it Obama is planning to concede on the evening of Nov 6th.
If your little king concedes, on what basis will you fight.
Concession means the vote was fair.
PS for lurking DUmmies, please note the giant elephant in my sig. His name is LANDSLIDE.

Yes, you are. It's been 8 years since this country's had a good election theft of this scale. It's like riding a bike; you never forget how, but you need to do it every so often so you don't get rusty.

Judging by how the polls are looking right now? Only if Obama wins. :-)
Then again, how can you have "another" election theft when you haven't had one previously in the first place?

6.
Polls in this case are done to judge the public response to Romney being in the hunt, early voting shows Obama winning by 68%...but the NEW polls say Obama is dead even (depending on the poll). I honestly don't see Romney winning more than 38% total. His own party is disheartened by his nomination and most won't be voting. He and Ryan are too extreme for most republicans. Just my opinion.
:mental: :lmao: How can a group of people be so wrong 100% of the time?

According to what I've read in DUmmy posts, there are two groups of people - 'demonrats' and 'everyone else'. DUmmies consider themselves to be smarter than 'everyone else', whom they consider to be mouth-breathing knuckle-draggers.
And yet, the DUmmies continue to believe that elections are stolen by those same mouth-breathing knuckle-draggers.
If I were a DUmmy, I don't think I'd like admitting that 'everyone else', the group I say I am smarter than, takes my stuff with regularity and I cannot thwart it.

It wouldn't have had to go to the US Supreme Court had Florida's Court followed the law, numbnuts. :banghead:
I also like that: if a dem can cheat just enough to throw a state into doubt, the population of that state is doubly screwed since they would not count. You want a civil war? THAT would start a civil war. Luckily, you're just a random loon on a website that even your political gods look down on.

Cognitive dissonance, you haz it.

Well, now, the way the Diebold technician explained it to me when I voted early the day before yesterday, "election theft" has nothing to do with it.
The totals from all the touchscreen machines have to be transmitted to Diebold headquarters because they are just "raw vote totals".
Before the central tabulators can accept these raw totals, they have to be processed by Diebold's proprietary software in the mainframes back at Diebold's headquarters in Ohio.
The processed vote totals are then transmitted back to central tabulators in the states, and combined to give the numbers reported to the public.
It's all extremely high-tech, but it does require a lot of field technicians to be sure communications between thousands of local precincts and the "mothership" are smooth, fast, and very low profile.

They have been riding those contradictory notions all through the G.W. Bush presidency, so why would they stop now ?
"Chimpy" was the "Stupidest President EVER" managed to beat the liberals at their own game over and over again. None of them seem to grasp the obvious - If the stupid 'rethugs' keep beating someone, then that someone must be stupider.

Of course you are. Next question please

In spades.
Wait, is that racist? :whistling:

I don't want the repukes to win in a landslide.
The most beautiful, perfect result would be if Romney were to carry four or five key states by just a couple tenths of a percentage point, after maybe a five-per-cent advantage for the Kenyan in the exit polls.
The DUmp would explode like a Roman candle.
By comparison, the post-election 2004 DUmp would look like a celebration.

For pure comedy gold, yes, this is the ideal situation. For the good of the country, we must work and hope for the blowout.

A blowout would be okay, but only if the exit polls are strongly in favor of the muslim.

You do have a point. The result in the DUmp would be spectacular.
Would be fun to watch, however, a good old fashioned trouncing would better serve our purpose.

Well I don't know about any of you, but if I am asked who I voted for when I am leaving the poll, I'm saying 'Obama' to skew the numbers... sooooooo.... :)

I've never spoken to an exit poller. I was polled over the phone this year, the first time since I started voting. The questions were similar to those internet quizzes that rank you against political figures and charts the results. It was pretty detailed and took about 15 minutes.
-
The DUmmies are missing how the pollsters play their games. Six months before the election, they can play with the numbers all they want.
This close to the election, they feel the need to be as accurate as possible so their polling firm will be considered among the most accurate.
