My days at work are reduced to wearing a poker face.
I am the most productive worker here by far. You can call it patting myself on the back, I call it truth, quantified by numbers. No one got within 20% of my margin at the end of last year, and I'm 22% ahead of the pack so far this year. So I don't fear for my job, not one bit.
But I am only one of two liberals here, and the other one is closeted for the most part. I am in the heart of red state here in TN.
These mouthbreathers here screw with me mercilessly. And boy, have they been crowing lately. Every time I'm engaged by one and told how Romney has this in the bag, I just take another long draw from my coffee mug and say "Sounds like you've got it in the bag, congratulations."
I've been chewing on this shit sandwich slowly ever since the first debate. There will be no middle ground. Either I'm going to spit that sandwich at the feet of these cretins, or I'm going to have to swallow it. But until then, I'm going to stay in my bubble and not let them see me sweat.
Just donated $100 to MoveOn's efforts to put up GOTV billboards in OH. It gave me a fleeting moment of peace. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't freaking out inside. This race shouldn't even be a race. Maybe it isn't. I don't know how these politicians do it. I would have ulcers on my ulcers if I had to do this for a living.

:bouncy: Aldthough, I bet the part about him chewing on a shit sandwich is true. I also think the part that he's all tangled up inside, because I think a good bit of primitives actually know what's going to happen. It just hasn't happened yet, so they haven't gone completely, over the top, ape shit yet.
If I were you reflection, I'd take all that money you're supposedly raking in by being the best, and buy a stockpile of bread. 4 years is a long time. :lmao: Right now, the vast majority have been smelling fecal matter in the very air they breath. November 6th, it ends. It's your turn, but only because your noses refuse to smell anything else when an (R) is around. The rest of us will be smelling roses, fine wine, and cologne. Not to mention tasting success.

4. I am too, thanks.
I am helping to take care of an aged parent, and I am about 3 years away from paying off my house (if no curveballs come my way).
I hope my mom lives to be 150, but 100% of us die, and when that happens and I finish up on the house, the wife and I are in agreement we are going to leave and try to settle down somewhere that doesn't have such a high moron-to-normal ratio.

but living in the South, it's just different here, I'm sorry. I think I'm allowed to say that, having lived here all my life. Other places have pockets of fools... we have oceans of them, wide and deep. Under-educated and over-medicated.

Obama has three weeks left to reverse the current Romney narrative, and in just a few days, he will participate in a debate that he really doesn't want to be involved in.
He can't hopey-change his way out of it.
To be honest, Obama's body language suggests to me that doesn't want the job anymore. However, he needs to make a good enough showing to keep his coattails from bursting into flames, and taking out a ton of lesser Democrats who are still interested in Washington.
Face it primitives -Obama wants to live the life of a 1%er in Hawaii. He will be able to jet around to star-studded events and interviews, and he can toss rhetorical bombs at Republicans and not have to worry about cleaning up the mess afterward.

I have a feeling it isn't going to be as close as everyone thinks. I believe that the debates are showing people who Romney really is, and he isn't the guy that appears in 0bama's tee vee ads. Hell I started off as someone who was going to hold my nose and vote Romney, but the more I get to know him the more supportive I become. He's not perfect, but I think he gets it when it comes to what America is and how it should be, and with him in the oval office and enough decent people in congress we can fix this mess and in 2016 Romney can run on, we are fixing this.
