Would have been better if it was a bungee jump.

I felt the same feelings I had in the tips of my fingers and toes that I had at Airborne School 25 years ago, and I was sitting at my computer. Brought 'em right back. Four and a half minutes of freefall . . . I'd be in a nuthouse from that.

I am scared of heights and claustrophobic. (didn't learn about the claustrophobia until firefighting academy) :panic:

I was scared shitless enough watching the HALO team jump from 17k. Despite the scare I would have loved, loved to have been on the DZ when he came in.

Added this to my bucket list.

Added this to my bucket list.
I'd tear up the list and throw away the bucket.

The 2:55 mark is completely freaky! :lmao: Man thats a long way down. From what i understand he went into a spin at one point and wasn't sure if he could right himself! :panic: :-)

Definitely NOT on my bucket list; I'm so glad he made it OK. Kimberly Gilfoyle was having the hots for him on The Five last night.

I've watched this a couple of dozen times and I'm still amazed by it. Just incredible.
That spin he went into could have killed him. The g-force you're putting on your blood vessels, especially in and around your eyes, he could have done some major damage. You would think they would anticipate that happening, but I couldn't say for sure. I know planes can go into a flat spin at high altitudes because your controls are sluggish and you can't react quickly enough.
And when you hit mach 1, you're going a mile every 5 seconds. Buddy, that's moving on!
Well, good for him. I really don't know how much higher someone can go, but I suspect that's about the edge of where you can do this type of thing and still have some margin of safety, if you can call it that. Probably someday someone might jump from a space capsule and try re-entry with some type of special suit. Won't be me.

Do you think his nuts have been pulled out of his sinus cavity yet?
