had a fight in a dunkin' donuts
So I'm a woman...and don't usually get into public brawls with men..BUT went into my local DD yesterday and was greeted by some loser in an anti-Obama shirt who had set up shop all over one of the tables-had another anti-Obama shirt draped over a chair that said "If you love Obama then you'll love Hugo Chavez". Guy walks in behind me and greets this guy and they start bashing Obama. The guy at the table was obviously getting out the vote, talking up Romney, passing stuff out.
So I complained to the cashier. And the guy who had just walked in yells at me and says "Oh you're one of those. Yo're the reason the country is the way it is". I then say "Oh right, please. it's Bush and the republicans who drove the economy into a ditch". He has his kids with him or he was going to keep going. Meanwhile trust me when I tell you just from looking at this guy I make double what he does at least. And the guy at the table? Probably un-employed if he is sitting there all day. WHAT DO THEY THINK ROMNEY WILL DO FOR THEM?
Anyway--I called the mgr and left a message and said if they were only catering to republicans I wouldn't be back!

4. America is full of really really really STUPID people, so don't count on anything happening. Given a Romney/Ryan win, these people will be lucky if they can afford a tent. I hate to sound so dismal on my fellow citizens, but a good portion of this country is really F'ed up. They walk around with their heads in the sand or up their butts.
We have a bank here with a Romney/Ryan sign so huge in front of it it almost touches the roof of the bank. It's on 4x4 posts and up so you can't miss it from the highway. Now, what does that say about who backs Romney/Ryan. If I had an account in that bank I would get my money out of there so fast the ink wouldn't have time to dry on my withdrawal/close account forms.

27. Remember if Obama loses and Romney wins then all the good Obama has done will be destroyed.
At the end Obama will get the blame anyway. Dems never win on honesty
Which is?
Example, please?
Just one?

7. Remember Chickfilet (or however its' spelled)?
A smart businessperson goes out of his/her way not to alienate a demographic segment of his/her clientele/patronage.
I doubt the snake oil salesperson was there with the permission of the owner. Likely, that kind of stuff is not permitted by the franchisor in the agreement with the franchisee.

8. MC D,s here in Ohio now plays fox news on the TV. When I talked to the manager about it He told me every store in the country is the same so I called corporate to complain. I did get a call from a local PR person. I haven't been in a McDonald's for months and don't see me going back, even to redeem the free meal coupon they sent me
I am not the only one http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/09/mcdonalds-fox-news_n_1952218.html

12. Our Wendy's in Ohio plays Fox 24/7
We asked them to change the channel and they said that is the only channel it gets. My guess is that these guys get the TV's installed free by Fox. Needless to say we do not go in there any more.

19. I made this account for this one post...
I am a Republican, albiet a middle of the road one, but I wanted to clarify something. Those people outside Dunkin's are not Republicans, they are Larouche people, if this happened in Mass.
I have lurked here for years and I just want to wish everyone luck. In three short weeks, another year of GOTV will be complete. I hope Romney wins, but I don't wish Obama bad at all, he seems like a good guy.

20. curious. You must be a billionaire, as are your children and grandkids.
Otherwise, can't fathom why anyone would vote for the party that keeps destroying the housing market, the stock market, personal wealth, and consumer confidence. I can only guess you are extremely wealthy, or extremely poor, otherwise, it makes zero sense financially to vote for a republican. Ever. You may think that your'e getting something financially, like tax breaks, but it ends up costing you more in the end.
Just so curious.. how many housing and banking crashes, and stock market crashes, do we need to endure under republicans, before you guys figure it out. When 35% of America's wealth is now in the hands of a handful of people (when it was 9% of the wealth under Reagan,) you will never see your financial dreams come to fruition, when your neighbors are struggling because their jobs were sent to India and China, and services were cut to give more money to the handful of people.
Again.. I wish you well, as you're obviously extremely wealthy and will never need public schools, police. firefighters, stock income, or health care.

21. I have a vague memory of a time when people on different sides of the fence were nice to each other
Thanks for bringing those memories back!
To be honest, I can't bring myself to wish you luck in return, because I really believe that a Romney administration would be an economic disaster for the people in this country who most need a break, but it was very nice of you to do it for us, and to say nice things about the president, too. Thanks!

22. Personally, I appreciate the tone of your post. That said, of course, this is a site for Democrats clearly spelled out in the TOS. So please don't be surprised or confused if your account is blocked. You've said this is to be your only post, so it probably doesn't matter either way.
Also, I would engage you on the "middle of the road" Republican thing. It must be awfully lonely. The crazies and the Flat Earthers have taken over the GOP. There once was a time when moderates had a voice in that party; it sure doesn't seem like that anymore.
When you have to disavow science and reality, when you have to sign pledges to Grover Norquist, when you have to promise to extend personhood to single cells, attack gay people, cozy up to groups that advocate outlawing contraception and the like, to win primaries in the GOP, the party has a big problem.
And the increasing irrationality, the out of touch ness, is only going to get worse for you guys. Demographically, long-term, the Republican Party is in trouble.
I would encourage you to consider switching sides. There is only one major party in America that is still run by rational people dedicated to fairness and critical thinking. It's not the GOP.
Lastly, I would agree with you about the LaRouche people, such as they are. They were insane 30 years ago, and they still are.

You have actually made a very good point for them without even knowing it. They KNOW what Obama will do for them. You even said what Obama has done for them: one in a low paying job and the other unemployed. What Obama has done for them, by your own admission, is bad. Are you saying they should vote for someone who has proven to be bad for them? Wouldn't this be voting against their best interests?

The only people I've ever seen "hang out" in my local DD's are retirees or the bikers who tour the area during the summertime, and I'm guessing they have pretty decent jobs if they can afford to tour around on $15K bikes burning $4/gallon gas to look at the pretty scenery.

Translation:
Dummie overheard someone talking about Romney and closed her eyes and dreamed this bouncy up.
Now I would like to point something out:
So I complained to the cashier. And the guy who had just walked in yells at me and says "Oh you're one of those. Yo're the reason the country is the way it is"
And he would be exactly correct.

WHAT DO THEY THINK ROMNEY WILL DO FOR THEM?
Undo everything Obama has "accomplished".
That's all that matters.

This person is probably right. When I lived in CA the LaRouche people were everywhere. Outside of the bank, grocery store and on the street corner. Comparing Obama to Hitler, etc. My friend who still lives in El Segundo complained all the time because there was this group bashing Obama standing outside of Whole Foods. I told her that I'd bet her $100 bucks that they were LaRouche people. She didn't know who LaRouche was (she is an Obama voter). I sent her a link and she actually read it. A few days later she called me and told me that they were outside of the Whole Foods again and that they were LaRouche. Those people are Westboro Baptist crazy.

I even had an argument with the LaRouche people, they're always outside of the post office, I've never seen Republicans or Democrats set up tables there.

Truer words have never crossed a (D)Ullards' pathetic lips. They win on stuff; the freer, the better.

We can only hope.

I don't understand people that expect the President to "do" things for them as if that's the President's job. Whenever Presidents talk about "doing" things, you can expect it to cost a lot of money.
-
Umm... why is any DUmmie doing business with Dunkin' Donuts? I believe they are one of the many corporations that Bain Capital (Romney/Rmoney) helped out.
-
marshall7798 may be right - The Larouche people are all over the place in Massachusetts, and they will set up shop anyplace they can find an audience.
It seems there are many (at least around here) who dislike Obama, but won't vote for Romney either. But that's okay. The LaRouche people are almost exclusively college kids who probably voted Obama the first time around, and are now unemployed, and living at home.
One vote less for The Great and Powerful O is one less vote.
-
And of course, none of them realize 1--what a whackjob Larouche was (is--still alive) and 2--what party he was/is.

Yeah stooooopid, didn't their sales sky rocket after you pukes wanted to boycott them? I'm sure gettin' behind a business that supports Romney will kill 'em! Seems to me, it's a helluva a way to increase revenue!

Shhhhhhhhhhh!!! Ya might make DD lose 30¢, 'cause this moron won't go back. I'm sure that would break 'em! Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!
Amazes me how all these DIpSHits are so self appointed important.
I thought Larouche had went the way of the Dodo. Ron Paul is what ya see the loony toons around here supporting. At least they will vote Repub. Those Larouche idiots will vote write in.

Hell, finding out that Bain helped out DD was the impetus for me getting a large strawberry Coollata almost every morning. Those things are good!
