What's for Dinner ~ Saturday Oct 13th
Never mind what the primitives allege they're having for supper tonight; as we all know, they're just yanking leftovers out from the refrigerator.

5. My guests have arrived and we have provisioned from floor to ceiling, as we will be completely out of pocket for about 8 days.
Tonight, our last night in America, one of my guests has prepared a beautiful lasagna, which we will eat with salad and garlic bread. We think we will have about half left, which we can warm up while underway to Paradise Cove tomorrow.
Off on our great adventure!! See all of you a week from Tuesday or so!
"Paradise Cove"--I'm guessing it's on the Baja California peninsula, near Ensenada, where the oblate spheroid should be, getting a crunchy news story.

Can you imagine dining in the cramped galley of cbayer the thread slayer's little boat, confined in that tiny space with her eye-watering body odor?

I nadined Paradise Cove. There's several of them, only one of which is outside the United States.
That's in Canada, 150 miles north of International Falls, Minnesota.
It'd be quite a feat, getting the boat up into there from southern California.
The others are in Malibu, California, Kapolei, Hawaii, Dallas, Texas, and, I guess, near Miami, Florida.

Ya know, if she's ever seen the movie "Dead Calm" I don't think she'd be all that excited.

If you can sail an ark from Tennessee to the Pacific Ocean, Minnesota should be a snap.

There's something else that would bother me about this trip, especially given that the bathroom's not one of these 7'x7' spaces the primitives boast of having; I'm sure on that little tiny boat with just 300 square feet, the bathroom's probably even much smaller than that.
I explained this in "portrait of an 'ex'-Communist," in the Sandhills forum, but the short short version is this:
The apartments in the socialist paradises of the workers and peasants were very diminuitive, tiny.
The commode was usually in a room all by itself, perhaps 3'x3', just off the dining-living room. The doors were flimsy.
Whenever Vladimir, an obese carbuncled flabby "ex"-Communist waxing even fatter off U.S. "foreign aid," went into it and sat down, everybody knew how he was progressing when evacuating. I didn't hear it myself, but I was told his grunts, groans, passing of air, winces, yelps (Vladimir was afflicted with hamorrhoids), and plops could be heard by those outside at the table.
It's got to be even worse than that, on a small boat.
