So the Benghazi attack was an attack on our CIA base in Libya?
Was it meant to kill the Ambassador or was it an attack on intelligence or was it meant to do both?
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. intelligence efforts in Libya have suffered a significant setback due to the abandonment and exposure of a facility in Benghazi, Libya identified by a newspaper as a "CIA base" following a congressional hearing this week, according to U.S. government sources.
The intelligence post, located 1.2 miles from the U.S. mission that was targeted by militants in a September 11 attack, was evacuated of Americans after the assault that killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens. Three other Americans died in the attacks on U.S.-occupied buildings, including two who were hit in a mortar blast at the secret compound.

The State Department displayed a satellite photograph showing two locations - the rented villa that served as a special diplomatic mission and the compound that officials had cryptically described as an "annex" or "safe house" for diplomatic personnel.
Both compounds were attacked by militants believed to be tied to al Qaeda. After the diplomatic complex was overrun, U.S. and Libyan personnel rushed by car to the second site, where they fought off two more waves of assaults, officials said.
Charlene Lamb, a top official in the State Department's Bureau of Diplomatic Security, told lawmakers that the secret compound took "as many as three direct hits."

This is an attempt at deflection-- and to make the case we need to continue to waste Billions of
dollar on our so called "intelligence" agencies.
the actual point here is we lost four good people-- simple due to stupid mistakes made by the
State Dept., and allegedly the lack of Marines to protect our consulate in Benghazi.
yeah, I get it-- "normally" we don't use Marines to protect a Consulate, but Libya is NOT a normal
nation. there are 1,000's of guys walking around with access to military weapons- that's normal??
30-40 Marines at our consulate in Benghazi would have likely saved the lives of our people.
FAIL.
This one is playing along with the administration's desperate attempt to pawn this off on Hillary.
Good luck with that, assholes.
My guess is our October Surprise will be gift-wrapped by the Clintons.
BTW -- it's premise that making this look like an attack on a CIA asset is meant to spur additional funding for the CIA makes no sense to me. The last thing anyone can claim at this point ws a lack of prior intel.

Every DUmmie knows that all the Libyans run around carrying flowers and kissing their fellow man, you know other than a few Al Q troublemakers, after all we helped free them. 15. If you want to know, you have to ask: what was Ambassador Stevens and the CIA doing in Benghazi?

*Why did Ambassador Stevens think he could risk operating in Benghazi with such a light security detail?
*Why did he apparently feel safe (enough) there - what were his assumptions about the nature of the threats, and the protection he would receive from the local militias?
* What was he and the CIA doing in that city, and what groups are there that are of interest to the U.S.?
* If all we were doing in Benghazi was tracking terrorist groups (rather than negotiating and coordinating with them) why was the Ambassador's involvement considered essential?
* What involvement did the Ambassador have with local Jihadi and Safafist groups sending foreign fighters to Syria?
* How much did missing MANPADS have to do with this, and was this a motive for the attack?
* Why did Stevens invite Francis Townsend, Bush's counter-terrorism chief (she declined, citing other obligations), to accompany him to Benghazi during that visit?

16. One thing I guarantee is
that the 'thugs are trying to wrap this tightly around Hillary and the State Department in hope of creating a pre-election rift between President Obama and the Clintons. Most of their stuff is down right giddy with the thought of political damage they can create; they don't care one damn bit about the country or our dead ambasador, only what they can exploit politically from this tragedy. That it may involve CIA operatives, as we know from their past actions, is of little importence to them as long as they can score political points.
Pretty sad. Pretty ****ing sad.

Don't be surprised if 1) Bill already knows this, and 2) is actively taking steps (behind the scenes, of course) to make the Obamessiah a one-term President. I've heard things to the effect that Hillary is about to resign, and Bill is absolutely livid about the Obamessiah's people hanging Hillary out to dry. You do not cross Bill Clinton.
