The St. Louis Cardinals just completed one of the most incredible post-season game come-from-behind wins that I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately for David Axelrod, he shot off his mouth before the game was decided. And with great comic effect.
 
SO…Tonight was the fifth and final game in the series between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Washington (DC) Nationals. After falling behind 6-0 in the deciding game of the National League Division Series with the Nationals, the Redbirds chipped away at that 6-0 lead, came within a run and trailed 6-5 in the 8th.  Washington added an insurance run in the bottom of the 8th and led 7-5 going into the 9th.  But the Redbirds scored four runs in the ninth and won the game 9-7.

As a Mets fan, I would have liked to see the Nats get to the WS.  Oh well.
