I'm posting this as a warning to all in reference to our useless border policy. I received a sad call Saturday morning, A close friend of mine and my best man at our 20th voe renewal ceremony was murdered 6 yrs ago and died Saturday morning.
Six yrs. ago he was driving along on the freeway between Tucson AZ and Sierra Vista, a small town near Ft. Huachuca by the border. An overloaded van containing 14 invaders ( illegal aliens) broke an axle and rolled directly in front of him. He had no time to react, and crashed his truck in a terrible multi-car wreck.
While he was lying in ICU with several of the surviving illegals in beds near him, being treated on the taxpayers dollar, his wife had to sit in the waiting room for days surrounded by the families of these criminals and their multitude of screaming bambinos.
My buddy was getting ready to retire and sell his successful business. He had just bought a nice second home in the mountains, and had honoured me by expressing the desire to start a business with me.
He then spent the last six years paralysed from the neck down, lying in a bed in the living room of their house, riddled with terrible bed sores, and being hoisted with a crane into a wheelchair every now and then when he felt good enough to sit up.
The saddest part of this story, is that our elected ones refuse to do a thing about the carnage on our border, and I sincerely hope that Mitt wil make quelling this invasion a priority in his first term.
Thanks all for reading this, I just felt it was important to let everyone know this is going on down here on a regular basis.

Damn, that makes me mad. What a horrible thing to have to live through.

I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. I hate that we as a country have no idea what is going on near our border, and I hope that our future changes down there soon.
-
Sorry to hear about your friend. It's the same down here on the Texas part of the border.

Funny how we never hear anything about that up here either.

Of course not. We're south of San Antonio, so we're just another 3rd world country. Unless there's a cat. 3 or higher hurricane, no one in the media cares.
Every night, it's shooting, drug bust, illegal aliens on the news.

My super uber liberal uncle in law moved near the border in Arizona. He isn't a liberal at all now. He even owns guns. I find it disgusting that not only do the democrats tolerate these criminals they are now encouraging it! Sorry for your loss.

Sincere condolences, em.
Our lives are transformed by criminal behavior in an instant and it's appalling to think of the consequences that we and our loved ones continually have to suffer because of criminals.
I spent some time down in Laredo 30 years ago. It was a hellhole then. I can only imagine the unbelievable hellhole it is today.

EM, so terribly sad for your loss. I've lived in Sierra Vista since summer of 2003. Less than three miles from my home is a major road (actually in Cochise county) where the drug runners from Mexico have threatened the lives of any home owner reporting them to Border Patrol. People in other parts of the country who think it's all roses and sunshine down here while peace loving undocumented workers slip quietly through here on their way to contributing more to America than they take out, come down here and say it to our faces. :bird:
I well remember this tragic incident. My husband and daughter work on post, and it could have been them who were involved in that wreck. The fact that your dear friend, or any American citizen, should be victimized by these vermin coming across the border while Washington, D.C. sits on its fat, self-satisfied ass, is an OUTRAGE.
As far as I'm concerned, the border should have been seeded with claymores and fortified with an electrified fence decades ago. :fuelfire:

To all thank you for the thoughts. My major feeling on this tragic situation is that this could be any one of us, yet our government does nothing, except maybe put up the revolting signage advising American citizens not to enter areas of their own country. While the despicable nepalatano goes on the record saying it is absolutely safe down here. I have worked construction in Tucson all my life and lost thousands of dollars in wages due to illegals taking work I could have bid at a decent rate. The sad part is even our Republican leaders refuse to deal with it. When I hear hizzonor borak push his wet dream act while I struggle for work I just feel less and less like a citizen of my home state. It just floors me that these leftist scum don't see what they are doing to their and their off-springs future. The only job I will be fit for by the time they construct a decent wall will be manning a Barrett in one of the towers. But that would be a job I would be PROUD to have!!
Thanks for listening

What horror. My sympathies to all who loved and will miss him.
I hear of what ranchers go through along the border simply caring for their livestock and land. They've experienced deaths, too. It just boggles my mind that the government lets this go on.
I admire those who are trying to hold the line down there without support.

Condolences to you and the family.

Words escape me. I'm sorry for your loss and I hope this can be fixed under a president Romney.

I'm Sorry for your loss. The Governemnt has as much to do with it as the people bringing them in. People have dome about everything they can to get the Government to stop the illeagle flow from across the borders but nothing happenes. If it was the other way around the Mexican military would shoot on sight and nothing would be said. It may well come down to having to build a huge wall to stop them.

Walls and fences will not keep rats from invading , they just tunnel under fences and walls like a dog will to escape their yard.
Very sophisticated tunnels with air shafts and electricity. One they found ran the length of a foot ball field from the Mexican side to come up under a home on the American side, large enough to drive a car through, the drugs and humans passing through and how old the tunnel was is anyones guess.
Not easy to do that in this part of the country when we sit on granite, someone would notice the blasting of the rock to build a tunnel.

I hope God can provide you with some comfort during this difficult memory.
How sad.
