Time to pull the plug on ‘Sesame Street’ fixation

Nothing like a good Elmo joke to show voters you’re taking the campaign seriously.
After a week of getting battered around for putting his campaign in sleep mode, President Obama is hoping that anger over “Sesame Street†will trump anger over the ailing economy.
If this is the Democrats’ new plan to keep the White House, Mitt Romney might as well start packing up the Jet Skis for the Potomac.
Obama is already facing Big Bird blowback. Democratic strategists who blasted the president’s debate performance are now questioning why the Obama campaign is fixating on the Muppets. Even PBS is going after Obama for putting the 8-foot tall yellow bird in new TV ads.

Ahhh the timing on this is excellent considering just last night one of my moronic liberal fbook friends decided to rant on this like it was some gotcha moment on conservatives.y response... Umm do you really think this is important right now? Really?

If even a Commie rag like the Globe recognizes how Obama is killing himself with this stupid shit, all I can say is...keep it up, Team Obama!
:-)
-
Biden will certainly "take one for the team".

Let's hope Barry puts on a little presentation about saving "The Count" on top of his Big Bird antics.
After all, the more time Barry wastes on the Muppets, the more days slip away and the more Romney can keep his momentum going.
Like the Herald's reporter said, "It’s almost too easy for the Romney campaign right now."

When the choice is big bird or Libya 0bama will choose big bird.
-
Big Bird has probably made more money than Romney. Obama is supporting the 1%ers.

I agree it has gone way over the top...Mitt Romney never said he didn't like Big Bird. I thought he meant that Sesame Street is a big enough corporation, that it doesnt need funding from the government or public viewers like you!! Essentially it can hold its own. As Sparky said in another thread. PBS needs Sesame Street, but Sesame Street doesn't need PBS.

Biden will certainly "take one for the team".
If it was not for Big Bird, Biden could not count to 10.
-
Any takers on Uncle Joe doing a Sesame Street character impression during the debate tomorrow night?

The Count is the one that teaches numbers on Sesame Street. Unfortunately he never reached 16 trillion.

My money's on Oscar the Grouch.

My money's on Oscar the Grouch.
No, as I recall, Oscar is a reasonably intelligent character.

However, he does live in a garbage can........
