Jerry Sandusky has been sentenced to 30 to 60 years in state prison for molesting children, closing his chapter in the dark saga of Penn State's sexual abuse scandal.
The prison term is likely a life sentence for the 68-year-old retired football coach, who was convicted in June of 45 counts of sexually abusing 10 boys between 1994 and 2009.
"I'm not going to sentence you to centuries in prison although the law would allow it," Judge John M. Cleland said. "Talking to a 68 year old man about dozens and dozens of years in prison serves no practical purpose. It's just too abstract."
Cleland announced the sentence after a 11/2-hour hearing in Centre County Court where three of Sandusky's victims addressed the court, describing the pain, humiliation, shame and mental torment their abuse by the retired Penn State football coach has caused.

Yeah, it does suck. Here in Pa, they have different wings depending on the type of crime you commit. They usually keep the child molesters away from general population.

I'm not too sure, but I don't think they even have them sharing a cell with another inmate. I know for a fact that Sandusky is in his own cell. Then they are doing that for his 'Protection' ....

I remember after he went to jail that he wanted to be in the general population because he was going "nutty" because he was isolated in protective custody.
