If the Employment Numbers can only be explained by Conspiracy...
Then they are really good numbers, right?
This is where the RW really stepped on its collective dick, and why all somewhat-sane Republicans recognized right away why denying the numbers was a bad mistake.
You can plausibly argue either side of the jobs report... you can argue that it was weak or strong.
But you cannot argue that it was weak while arguing that it is so strong that it must be fake.

You fools have such short memories, back in 09 when it hit 7.8% it was called depression level because you blamed it on Bush, then here we are almost 4 years later and we are just now getting back to the same number that was the end of the world back then, and even worse we got there by them cooking the books. This is bad and I don't mean bad for Romney or for the republican party, this is bad for the country. People are struggling and being lied to about how wonderful things are and some of them will be foolish enough to vote for 4 more years of smoke, mirrors, lies, and the total destruction of everything that we the people have built. :banghead:

The bottom line is that very few believe they are accurate.
That means that the bulk of the population consider O to be a liar either on top of or because of his double down to cover incompetence or actual treason regarding the attacks and killings in Libya.

The majority of those who are voting for four more years aren't doing it for the smoke and mirrors, they're doing it for, as SSB put it, free birth control and cough syrup.

Do the DUmmies even know that the unemployment number is as accurate as a poll? They conduct it the same way. They should not even use this way to report unemployment.

I have to admit until recently I didn't know that they used a poll to get the numbers. I had always thought that they gathered the results from the unemployment offices of how many were signing up, how many were looking and things like that.

They do get the weekly unemployment claims that way from each state.
There are two surveys one with 400K of businesses surveyed. that was the one that showed 114,000 jobs added.
The other one is the household survey of 60k that said there were 840K jobs and that is what they use to determine the UE number.
For me I just do not see how every quarter is worse for GDP growth and the weakest one 1.3% that will be reduced down can produce the number of jobs that Reagan did when the GDP growth was at 9.4%. Like Jack Welch said, does it feel like employment has gone up by almost a million jobs? I was around in the 80s and it was booming. Everyone was pumping and back logs were in double digit months. Someone asked if the payroll taxes went dramatically up with all the new hires? I searched around but couldn't find any recent numbers but I only have a yellow belt in googl-fu.

Ummm stores are gearing up for Christmas. They're hiring temporary seasonal help, emphasis on the temporary. Happens every year at this time of year. UE reports will mention that fact, or not depending on who's doing the spinning.

181,000 jobs added in July = 8.3% unemployment
142,000 jobs added in August = 8.1% unemployment
114,000 jobs added in Sept. = 7.8% unemployment.
U6 unemployment is unchanged at 14.7 percent.
873,000 found jobs; 600,000 are Part Time & low paying!

An average of 144k jobs have been added each month this year. However, in 2011, when UE stayed above 8%, 156k jobs were added each month.
Those numbers alone tell me that Obama cooked the books to get UE under 8%.
