Confession of a Republican for Obama

I am a life long Republican. Before I could even vote, Barry Goldwater was my hero. People might disagree with him, but they always respected him for honestly standing up for what he believed. He once said "it is time to put conscience back in government. And by good example, put it back in all walks of American life." I could not agree more. I have discovered in life what is important is not what a man will say he will do, what is important is the nature of the man.

As I grew older I moderated my views, so I supported Mitt Romney in the early primaries. I thought he was a moderate Republican. However, once "Bain" entered the discussion, that began to change. Desiring to know the true story I started to do some research. I became convinced that not only would his policies be bad for US, but as a man, he was not worthy of our trust. Mitt Romney is a dishonest lying hypocrite who is unworthy of being the candidate from my party.

I know these are strong words, but I felt so strongly about it I put up a Website to explain my reasoning. If you read my two pages “Character Counts” and “Character and Taxes” you will see why I am justified in saying this. I believe “An American Nightmare” would not be possible with any candidate except Mitt Romney. This Site explains all the reasons I came to my decision. I believe it would be particularly helpful to people who are not wildly enthusiastic about either candidate. Please go to my Website at:

I believe this just as much as I believe the unemployment numbers.

It's so easy to pick these things apart. I went through his extensive "About Me" (http://commonsensefor.us/About%20Me.html) on his web site. He claimed to have written "Political Alienation in Contemporary America". Unfortunately it was written by Robert S. Gilmour and Robert B. Lamb, not the Charles Gallo who posted at DU.

Gallo (viguy007) claims to have attended Columbia University. But neither his "two professors" at Columbia, Gilmour or Lamb, were professors at Columbia University as Gallo had claimed and who wanted his "paper" expanded into a book with his assistance.

The one book I can find at BookFinder (http://www.bookfinder4u.com/) attributed to a Charles Gallo is "The Political Alienation", a paperback college text, which has been out of print for almost thirty years. Gilmour and Lamb's "Political Alienation in Contemporary America" has also been out of print since '03.

Oh, my! This smells of David Axelrod and his Chicago staff. His commercial side is public relations, work in which he was very successful. Viguy007's, "About Me" page is very well written - complete with plausible lies old enough to make it difficult to verify. This is pure Chicago shit!

Heh!  :-)  Yeah, I saw that.

Funny, he's all Reagan compromised with Tipster and blah, blah, blah.  Bush1 raised taxes to fight the deficit and blah, blah, blah.....and then Romney is a lying hypocrite who is unworthy of being the candidate from my party.

Uh-huh. :whatever:

What a pant load.

11. Thanks for sharing your website with us.

I have just posted it on a site where a friend has confided she really is an undecided voter. She cannot make up her mind
whether to vote Romney or Obama--even though she identifies herself as a Democrat--but personally, I think she's more of
an Eisenhower Republican.

I also put it up on my fb page where several family members--Republicans--MIGHT take a look.

If this is not allowed, please feel free to delete it. But since this is a public record. It is out there for anyone who knows how to use Whois to see.

Since this is a public record, I doubt it's prohibited, but of course I'm not the owner or an administrator.

However, it needs pointed out that when Scamdy first came up, the scamming primitives did a similar thing to Scamdy.

The first time around, the owner was listed with the same name as some stupid cartoon dog in a comics-book put out by the malicious cartoon character, the "Kelvin Mace" or "Kevin Malice" or whatever primitive, and Scamdy got taken down.

I dunno why; that was before I owned it.

When I took it over, it was legitimately "anonymized;" I have no idea what that entailed.

I did a cursory search for his name and political donations.

The only Gallo that popped up in Doral didn't have the same first name...and certainly wasn't donating to Republican causes.

There was a Charles Gallo, LPA of Highland Heights, Oh that gave two $1,000 donations to John Edwards in 2007.

I think we've got another impostor on our hands.

That's always a concern of mine, but I notice my ISP (internet service provider) changes my number once in a while, and they tend to be widely-different numbers.  Sometimes the first numbers are just two digits, other times three digits.  A couple of times, it's been just one digit.

This isn't something that happens daily or weekly or monthly on a regular basis; sometimes for months and months I'll have the same number and then boom! it'll abruptly change for a few weeks, and then change again for another random period of time.

I dunno why that is, but I'm not an expert on computers and the internet.

I still have a lot left to learn in life, and learning computers and the internet is, like, 30,682nd on the list.  I'm concentrating on learning more-useful information, such as "how to get along with other people, "how to be a better person," " how to be more effective in kicking primitive ass," and somesuch more-useful things.

9. Thank you for writing this. I read the entire piece and agreed with nearly all of it.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to get this to my list of Republican friends (I think they are still friends) who need to read these essays. (This election and Obama's first term have whittled down the list, but they will be back.)

Your pieces make a lot of sense and, evolving from a Republican's point of view, they give me hope there are more out there who know the path Republicans are on today is the wrong one. They won't listen to anything we have to say, so maybe they will listen to you.

The enemy is the monied who want to take over this country. However, that sounds so extreme, people think you are losing your mind. Sometimes, I think that was part of their plan...take actions so bizarre, no on would believe them. How many times have we made the comment "you can't make this stuff up?"

In order to come out the winner, we need both parties to fight back. I'm glad to see you are viewing our nation's situation the way you are. There is hope--and, hopefully--change.

You are doing a wonderful job fooling the idiots at DU. They are eating up every word you post. They actually believe that your words are so powerful that if Republicans would just read them that they all will vote for 0bama in droves.

You are the most successful spammer that I have ever seen at DU. Since you are successful now we will be implementing a tax on you in honor of your hero 0bama.

Ya know, what with the work schedule and all, I'm almost glad I can just sit back and watch rather than participate.

As the saying goes, "Chaos, panic, and disorder...my work here is done."

He is just another liberal passing himself off as a Republican. Yawn ....

How many times have we exposed these hosers holdin' up repuib signs at Tea Party rallies?

Let them come...I for one would like to get the DUmmies on open ground...about time they quit hiding behind Skinner's Iron Curtain.

You know of course that will never happen! Once you get a slug to crawl out from under their rock, they dissolve in the beer we bait them with.

I know this is an old thread, but I needed to add to this:

From his profile at OKCupid

"when I graduated I was already a published author. This provided me with the credentials to become in 1976, a paid staff member of the national campaign committee for California Governor Jerry Brown when he ran for the presidential nomination against Jimmy Carter. I was in my mid-twenties, already both a published"

It does reveal the basic liberal personality flaw which can best be summed up as, "If I'm like you I like you."

This is why it is so easy for moles to over run their little sites.

Feed a liberal his own preconceived beliefs and he'll eat out of your hand until you convince him to camp out in the streets wearing the mask of a Catholic terrorist/martyr crapping in the streets and taking liberties with the naive.
