Title: AARP to Obama: Don’t mention us again
Post by: BlueStateSaint on October 04, 2012, 01:13:16 PM
When a major supporter does this, it's a warning . . . :bitchslap:

AARP to Obama: Don’t mention us again

October 4, 2012 | 12:08 pm

President Obama invoked AARP to defend his health care law last night, prompting the influential group to release a statement telling him not to do that again.

“While we respect the rights of each campaign to make its case to voters, AARP has never consented to the use of its name by any candidate or political campaign,” the group posted in a statement. “AARP is a nonpartisan organization and we do not endorse political candidates nor coordinate with any candidate or political party.”

Methinks that they can read the writing on the wall, and theyare probably losing members to the various conservative alternatives to AARP every time they are linked to either Obamacare or the Obamessiah.  The story's only four paragraphs long, and the other two are here:

Again, :bitchslap:

Many people disavow any relation to AARP, due to their extreme lib policies.

Like me.

Bullshit.  Their commercials are still using ObamaCare, which they fully backed, to sell their Medicare insurance plans.

I can bet you all the sand in California that they wouldn't be saying this if Obama was the one who won last night.

When Obama was flying off the rails about the evil capitalist insurance companies that might profit if Obamacare is repealed, Romney missed a great opportunity to call out AARP for the  filthy backstreet skankwhore it is, prostituting itself for Obamacare and the millions it stands to make because of it.

But looks like he didn't have to...even the filthy backstreet skankwhores are backing away from Obama at lightning speed.  :lmao: :lmao:

I also liked how petulant Obama sounded when he told Mitt that DemonRats wouldn't be willing to work with him if he repealed ObamaCare.  :panic:

Bullshit.  Their [AARP] commercials are still using ObamaCare, which they fully backed, to sell their Medicare insurance plans.

Bingo, spot-on, and steel on target. h5

This "statement" is yet another crystal-clear example of how lefty organizations lie. The sad tragedy is, tons of seniors actually fall for that bullshit hook, line and sinker.

When their marketing trash arrives in the mailbox, it stinks so badly I need to put on nitrile gloves to throw it out. Mrs. E bitches at me because it's her they're writing, but I don't give a shit -- lies are lies and I don't want their stinking, putrid pile of rabid lib shit in my house.

I've started getting crap in the mail from them , too, but just rip it up and throw it away.  When I get older, I'll look into one of the other groups for old people.

Yeah, The AARP is so far left that they can never find center. They are just pandering because of losing members left and right.

We canceled our AARP membership years ago.  We still get crap in the mail as if we were still members in good standing.

Does that mean O has to stop running tv ads that quote that AARP study about the $716B that may or may not be removed from Medicare?

Lie down with dogs and you get fleas. AARP did not have a problem crafting Obamacare which will make them rich with their 3rd party sales of high priced insurance. Now they do not want to piss off Romney supporters. The dues they get is peanuts compared to the almost a billion they make off insurance and mutal funds.

Given how lightbrigery they were, they saw last night and said:  "Oh, hell no!  Partisan matters didn't bother them too much during ObingaCare.

We simply don't discuss politics. Other than that, things are peachy! (And what she doesn't know won't hurt her - like shitcanning those offensive marketing mailers from AARP...)

Before the internet my older relatives loved it, as they always were able to get a less expensive motel room... :-)

I left them right after they backed ObozoCare. Only joined them for lower Car insurance rate, but USAA ended up beating them any how.
