Is this for the debate itself or for the DUmmies reactions?
You know, madam, I would "sticky" this thread making it the official DUmpster thread, but there's a problem.
We need something of substance more than an announcement that it's the debate thread.
Sorry; and probably in a few minutes, you're going to see an angry franksolich in another forum here, regarding this.
Can we do both in the thread?
Do you want to change the thread title? This is my 1st Presidential Debate with you guys so what do you usually do?
The reason I was asking was there is one thread started already,
http://www.conservativecave.com/index.php/topic,78690.msg959253/boardseen.html#new
I would prefer that this thread would be for the DUmp's reactions, but you are free to do as you wish.
Oh that's fine if you have a thread already, I wasn't sure if you normally do a thread in the DUmp. Can you just delete this thread then?

Can we do both in the thread? We already have a debate thread in the Election forum.
Okay, now it's fine.
We know what the thread's for.
<<happy here, about ready to fly off the handle elsewhere.
Take a deep breath and count to ten. :-)
Okay to officially kick off this thread,

I thought Obama started slowly, but now Romney is just manic and making a fool of himself throwing tantrums over whose going to get the last word. Obama is presidential. Mitt is acting a bit childish.
What do you think?
Jughead just brought up Exxon Mobil. Does he really want to give Mitt an opening to talk about gas prices?

23. I don't know
You see, even if I agree with Obama's points and his delivery, Romney is being aggressive in a way that some people would actually like a lot.
Even if Romney is not giving any specifics or any sort of actual logic he is going after key points that people fall for.
Right now Obama is giving a nice little explanation that I can appreciate.

The utter assholiness and arrogance of Romney is showing. This man cannot be president. Cannot.
He is batshit ****ing crazy. The never shuts up. He is railroading the moderator. He is out of control.

For those saying the Prez is down, see, those are just facts slowing him down. Lies are fast.
You can lie super fast but it takes a moment to discuss details with facts.
The President isn't down, he's just busy being correct.
No, DUmmy facts come easier than lying, when you lie you have to think up a way to make it sound believable. Facts will be believed by the fact that they are correct.

WHICH WAS INCREDIBLY ****ING STUPID
but all too typical of this debate so far.
Big hanging meatball over the plate - the one EVERYONE ALREADY KNOWS ABOUT thanks to Bill Clinton - and he didn't swing.
My personal sense at the halfway point: this debate is a train wreck for Obama so far. That one lie he let pass - one of many - typifies the night so far.

I am not a troll.
Been here eleven years.
I am very disappointed in tonight's debate. Far, far too many opportunities simply wasted.
Counting on the press and the Obama campaign ads to catch all of Romney's lies tonight is a poor strategy. Believing debates really don't make a difference is whistling past the graveyard.
The media has been slavering for an opportunity to run "Romney's back, it's close!" across the sky. Tonight, they got it. Romney looked like he wanted it more, and when lies don't get called out, they tend to stand.
I am not a troll.
This was not a good night.
P.S. "The moderator sucked" is no excuse. Lehrer was a train wreck, but Obama had a dozen opportunities to draw blood - big fat hanging meatballs over the plate - and he failed to swing at pretty much all of them.

She's about as feminine as a warthog.
She's about as feminine as a warthog.
Is Barack Milhous taller than Romney?
Anybody know?
This is even better than I thought. Even the Dump knows Obama is getting his arse kicked.
Metaphorically? Absolutely not.
The nation’s first African American first lady stands five feet, 11 inches tall. That height ties Michelle Obama with Eleanor Roosevelt as the tallest first lady in U.S. history......Her husband, President Barack Obama, stands six feet, one inch tall, and that puts him in a three-way tie with Andrew Jackson and Ronald Reagan for fifth place on the list of tallest U.S. presidents.
6' 2"
If height were the deciding factor, presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney would defeat Barack Obama in the 2012 presidential election. Just how tall is Romney? The former Massachusetts governor is 6 feet, 2 inches tall—a full inch taller than Obama. Romney is the same height as recent presidents Bill Clinton and George H. W. Bush, as well as Franklin D. Roosevelt, so if nothing else, we know the doorframes in the White House are tall enough to accommodate the GOP hopeful.
While voters consider more than physical stature when they get to their polling stations—at least we hope they do—data suggests that height does play a factor. Since 1789, the taller candidates have triumphed in 58 percent of U.S. presidential elections, and what’s more, they’ve won the popular vote 67 percent of the time. There’s even a term for this phenomenon: “the Presidential height index.â€
In an interview with Globe magazine Ann Romney told that her height is 5 feet 8.

This is what happens when the media doesn't challenge a president for four years on ANYTHING. Obama has gotten so spoiled in not being challenged by anyone over any of his lies or idiocy.

:hi5: worthy, ma'am.
I hope Obamacare covers asskickings. :-)
What happen with the DUmp saying that obama is going to kill Romney last night? All that talk about how obama is going to do so good because he is so smart and articulate. He proved them all wrong last night. It makes me wonder if they are worried about the Ryan/Biden debate next week? That one is going to be good. Biden has given Ryan so much ammunition over the past couple of weeks it isn't even close to being funny ...
They're detached from reality, but even Taverner after shooting an 8-ball can't get THAT detached. The DUmbasses saw plain as day that their Messiah isn't as powerful as Mitt Romney's (and my) messiah, and they're scared shitless.
So Romney will now be the tallest president ever?
I almost didn't.
I left here and went to bed a little after 11:00 p.m., an hour later than usual.
About 2:00 a.m., because I couldn't sleep, I turned on the bedroom light to read a biography of Lord Ravensmore, but as I did that, through the opened doors, I could see the dining room light was on. I hadn't left it on.
I got up to check, and as I came into the living room next to the dining room, I saw some guy about my own height and weight, but younger than me.
The problem was, the handy-dandy S/K adjustable wrench, the one with a spannage of 1-3/8" and a handle 17" long was closer to me than to him. But fortunately he didn't see that, as he was looking at me.
He looked startled and said something I didn't grasp, and ran out the front door, into a car outside, which had a second person sitting in the front seat.
After which I went back to bed.
A typical night here, out on the eastern slope of the Sandhills of Nebraska.
Frank, were you nekkid again?

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) — Californians watched closely Wednesday evening as President Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney sparred aggressively in their first campaign debate over taxes, deficits and strong steps needed to create jobs in a sputtering national economy. “The status quo is not going to cut it,†declared the challenger.
Obama in turn accused his rival of seeking to “double down†on economic policies that actually led to the devastating national downturn four years ago – and of evasiveness on details for Romney proposals on tax changes, health care, Wall Street regulation and more.
Both men made frequent references to the weak economy and high national unemployment, by far the dominant issue in the race for the White House. But debate watchers in California split on who they trust more on the economy, a significant moral victory for Romney.
Even more importantly — particularly in what is considered a ‘Blue’ state, where not surprisingly significantly more Democrats watched the debate than Republicans — it was striking that 48% thought Romney was the clear winner.
That’s according to a KPIX-TV CBS 5 poll taken right after the debate, which found only 34% of Golden State debate watchers actually believed Obama won.
Frank, were you nekkid again?
:lmao:
:picsneeded: BEING FORBIDDEN !!

If San Francisco thinks Romney won, . . . :fuelfire: :whistling: O-)
ETA: Yes, I know about the link. Here it is again: http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2012/10/03/californians-watch-as-obama-romney-clash-on-economy-in-1st-debate/
I half expected Lehrer to say this to Obama at some point last night:
Dennis Miller: "Obama better hope that a "kicked ass" is covered under Obamacare"
Oh man, General Discusson today on Skins's island is about the most Wockenkuckkuckensheim I've ever seen it.
It's really a cloud-cuckoo-land over there.
The primitives don't seem to have even a tenuous hold on Reality today.
Oh, but this new DNC ad is priceless: Romney's a big meany (never occurred to them people want a leader who isn't afraid to be aggressive). Don't have a clue how to bring it over but it's just great!

That is awesome. If the Dems think that is going to help them, then they are sadly mistaken. I heard it said today that obama will be trying the sympathy vote now. That could be part of the beginning.
Okay, here's something I've been thinking about for a while, although I didn't think Romney would crush Barack Milhous in the first round (I thought that would come later):
I think there's a pretty good possibility that after the vice presidential debate next week, at some point Barack Milhous is going to call off the last two presidential debates, alleging some crisis or another compels him to spend his time being president, not a presidential candidate.
I dunno how likely that is, but it looks to me reasonably likely, that Barack Milhous is going to duck.
I think he is going to bomb Lybia.

I think she meant Libya, and not Lybia or labia. :-)
I don't think so, Coach, and here's why. The uproar that he would face from good and decent voters would be the 'political tsunami' that I've been predicting would envelop the Obamessiah . . . aw, Hell--Barack Milhous just sounds better. And, the 'earthquake' that is the birth of the tsunami happened last night. As we get closer to November 6th, the tsunami will get larger, and more destructive to the Democrat Party, until it makes the Bander Aceh tsunami of 2004 look like a fart in a bathtub.

I think he is going to bomb Lybia.
I think he is going to bomb Lybia.
I'm beginning to wonder if Obama isn't seriously addicted to drugs. He's unable to perform anything without a teleprompter or a script. He was unable to ad lib or react to anything last night.
Its possible that Valerie Jarret and Michelle, have been governing this country for a while.
Obama may just be so addicted he is useless. Hence why he wouldn't meet with world leaders when they were all gathered in New York.
Hitler destroyed himself with drugs and its possible that Obama may be doing so as well.

Well just came home from a debate
no, not the Presidential debate. Just turned on Current, to watch the repeat.
But I can already tell it was a draw... how you ask? You have not watched all of it.
Partisan sites are amazing.
Yup, checked this place... did somebody die? No serious?
Then I go over to our mirror site, and they claim their man won, but just barely.
Well, for the rest of us this means we had something close to a draw.
Now on to watch the debate... and tomorrow write the story on the local debate, which included.. CHICKENS... it is burning issue in this county, you could even say it is burning afoul or something.
After it is over, on the repeat, I will be able to have a far better view of this... our revoir.

What's this "mirror site" to which the oblate spheroid refers?
It obviously ain't us.
(http://moonbattery.com/liberal_tears.jpg)I love this. This photo will go into my collection.
Liberal tears are so sweet.
I doubt his missile will work during a Lybia encounter.
