Post by: BlueStateSaint on October 03, 2012, 04:14:50 AM
The Weather Channel is going to start naimg winter storms, much like the NHC/NOAA does for summer storms.  The names will be as follows:

Caesar is probably a good bet, but I would love to hear the news speak of Winter Storm Gandolf.  Bet we would see a lot of outtakes on that one.

I say we don't make it past Athena, in my area anyhow. We didn't have a winter last year. I hope it is the same thing year.

I am looking at the storms this way. The last time we got a good winter was two years ago when Montana got 3 foot of snow in Butte, in August. Last year, and this year, that didn't happen. So that tells me that that there will no Winter, again.

I was just thinking about this--if we were to get to storm Q, what if it spun off a smaller storm?

Would it be called "Moneypenny?" :whistling:

No. The offspring of Q is Q2 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Q2_%28Star_Trek:_Voyager%29).

Can't think of a more stupid idea in the world except for the winner of the 2008 election for President of the United states
