<snip>
House investigators warned Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to expect a hearing into their finding that that American staff at the U.S. Embassy in Libya had their request for additional security denied by Washington officials.

<moneyshot>
“In addition, multiple U.S. federal government officials have confirmed to the Committee that, prior to the September 11 attack, the U.S. mission in Libya made repeated requests for increased security in Benghazi,” Issa and Chaffetz added (my emphasis)*. “The mission in Libya, however, was denied these resources by officials in Washington.”

This is a link to a .pdf version of the letter that was sent to the Secretary of State.

* The authors added emphasis did not translate so I added it back in.

Oh dear....  It looks like Hillary hitching her wagon to barky's administration maybe was not the best of ideas.  Now she'll have "incompetent SOS" to add to "carpetbagging senator" and "doormat first lady".  Probably will not be resume enhancers for a 2016 run.

Ah, well....

Issa might also consider asking Hillary about her apparent deliberate move to place Stevens, a known fudgepacker, in as ambassador in a muzzie nation that looks dimly on that practice to begin with and would likely look on that as a provocation.

Not that I have a problem provoking muzzies, per se, but it would appear Hillary and the rest of Barry's Thugs are so ga-ga about catering to fudgepackers that this is the kind of thing that can result.

The State Department under her and Barry have reached new lows in finding ways to piss countries off.   The State Department has an annual Gay Pride Celebration.

Then there is this.

Embassy Islamabad Hosts GLBT Pride Celebration

Chargé d’Affaires Ambassador Richard Hoagland and members of Gays and Lesbians in Foreign Affairs Agencies (GLIFFA) hosted Embassy Islamabad’s first ever gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) Pride Celebration on June 26.  This gathering demonstrated continued U.S. Embassy support for human rights, including LGBT rights, inPakistan at a time when those rights are increasingly under attack from extremist elements throughout Pakistani society.

Over 75 people attended including Mission Officers, U.S. military representatives, foreign diplomats, and leaders of Pakistani LGBT advocacy groups. In formal remarks, the Chargé underscored President Obama’s May 31, 2011 GLBT Pride Proclamation that, “we rededicate ourselves to the pursuit of equal rights for all, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Addressing the Pakistani LGBT activists, the Chargé, while acknowledging that the struggle for GLBT rights in Pakistan is still beginning, said “I want to be clear: the U.S. Embassy is here to support you and stand by your side every step of the way.”

If they couldn't afford the security, then they should not have even been there.  They should have sent them to Tripoli, or someplace that's not in the middle of an Islamic  war zone.

I agree with the bolded statement. I'm all for equal rights. If they dance or parade in the street naked I want them arrested just like a normal person would be.
