Kentucky restaurant shut down after road kill found in kitchen
A Chinese restaurant in Kentucky has reportedly been forced to shut its doors after allegedly serving up roadkill.
WKYT.com reports that the Red Flower Chinese Restaurant in Williamsburg was shuttered on Thursday after a customer called the health department when she saw a dead deer being wheeled into the kitchen.
"Two of the workers came in wheeling a garbage can and they had a box sitting on top of it," Kate Hopkins told the website. "And hanging out of the garbage can, they were trying to be real quick with it. So that nobody could see it. But there was like a tail, and a foot and leg. Sticking out of the garbage can and they wheeled it straight back into the kitchen."
Paul Lawson, Whitley County's environmental health inspector, said the owner's son admitted to pick up the dead animal from the side of I-75 North in Williamsburg. The restaurant was immediately shut down.

Predictably, the primitives betray their racism.
The primitives are sinophobes; I have no idea why, given that the largest country in the world is a socialist paradise of the workers and peasants with free medical care for all.
But beginning with Ms Ed the unappellated eohippus and then Mrs. Alfred Packer the hippywife primitive and Judy the pie-and-jam primitive and most recently, the brain-damaged primitive, they've tended to show a deep dark streak of rabid xenophobia, mostly directed against yellow people.
A sample of the primitive comments:

7. Suspicions confirmed
I think the first time I heard this urban legend was in HS over 50 years ago when it was rumored that the Chinese restaurant in our small CA town had been closed down by the health dept. after they found cat and dog skeletons in their garbage cans.
My dad told me it was bullshit, but I always suspected he was blowing smoke. Nice to see after all these years that it actually has happened.

11. Waste not, want not.
So what's wrong with that as long as it was fairly fresh?

23. We are entirely too out of touch when it comes to the realities...of food.
Fresh roadkill is every bit as edible as any other meat. In this case, it just looks bad. They shouldn't have done it, but it's still a good use for the unfortunate animal.

So a guy serves dog and gets shut down. Does Obama need a new chef?

Well if anyone knows about shutting down restaurants, it's gonna be Cali.
At least they didn't serve earwigs, right Cali? :-)

Oh, I can tell you exactly why - because Asians tend to succeed in this country without sucking at the welfare teat. They do what other minorities refuse to do - they work hard, rather than play the part of victims in order to get a free ride.

Oh boy, I'm not exaggerating the hatred the primitives have for yellow people.
And the reason you gave is probably why.
Damn, they're rabid sinophobes.

True Story, a month after the local pet store closed down so did the Chinese restaurant. Coincidence or just conspiracy?

Bullshit, primitive! Roadkill may have brains, fur, intestines, and bone mashed together with the meat, not to mention oil and other chemicals on the road. It can be and almost certainy is poisonous to eat, perhaps lethally so, and would only taste good to somebody about to die of starvation. Any place found to be serving such....cuisine...is going to be shut down and have all of it's liscenses revoked immediately.
But you are a primitive after all, so bon apetit.

Anyone eating at a restaurant named "Meow Tse Tung" should have known better.

When I lived in Maine, a lady I worked with was a little late getting into work. She had hit a deer on the way. I know that can be dangerous, so I said "Oh my GOD! Are you OK? Did you get injured? The poor deer!" She looked at me as if I had two heads. She gets on the phone to her husband, and said, "come get this deer out on Rt. 15 just outside Bucksport. Hurry before someone else gets it."

Here in red state hell, not long ago the legislature spent considerable time at the end of a session debating and passing a bill guaranteeing citizens the right to pick up and take home any animal killed on roadways in the state.
I thought it was great, for a couple of reasons.
It makes sense to avoid wasting a freshly killed deer.
Far more important, the more time they spend on issues like this, the less time they have to pass taxes, and appropriations, and tax money giveaways.
I love to see state legislatures involved in looong debates on abortion, or homosexual marriage, or how to break up occupooper campgrounds.
Those things are never going to affect my wallet.

I have heard of states that allow a police officer to grant a special tag for the freshly killed deer so there is no trouble if you try to take it in for processing.

Illinois allows a person to keep road killed deer , but they have to report them to IDNR .
-
Colorado allows taking fresh road kill, too. Heck, maybe they'd let someone take an old roadkill, but I don't know anyone who would!
Colorado police give you a certificate stating that a) it's roadkill, and b) you're legally allowed to be in possession of it. I know I mentioned this before, but one of my former foster sons took an elk he saw get hit and gave me some of the meat. I cooked it and served much of it to friends and we always made a toast to the poor person who almost certainly had damage to their car. We were grateful for the meat.

The NY State Police maintain lists of people exactly for that reason. They find a road-killed deer? The person at the top of the list gets a call. Not home, or can't get it? They go to the next person. On down the list they go until they find someone to take the deer. Next deer, they start the list from the next person.
