ATTENTION former LIBERAL Democrat runs as a conservative Republican just 4 years later (Keep kicked)

What will the cavers do about this? Remember the web site they put up about me when I ran for city council? They should be having a field day with this guy. He was left of me. I (Omaha Steve) nominated him for the CHAIRMANSHIP of the county D party AFTER his Congressional Primary defeat. This guy is an opportunist. He sure scrubbed his past away from view of conservatives!

What will the cavers do about this liberal D in an R costume?

http://www.omaha.com/article/20120929/NEWS/709299908/1016#

Snip:

This is the first Legislative bid for both candidates, though not the first political contest for Carter.

The Texas native, who grew up in a Houston suburb and is a major in the Air Force Reserve, made a bid for Congress four years ago. Then a Democrat, Carter thought he would be his former party's only challenger to incumbent Lee Terry in Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District.

But Democrat Jim Esch entered the race and hammered Carter in the primary. After that, Carter gave his support to Terry, who won. Carter then resumed being a Republican. He said he had left the GOP in 2006 because he thought the Democrats then were more in line with his fiscal conservative views. Disenchanted with the Democrats, he returned to the Republican fold in 2009 and ran Terry's successful 2010 campaign.

Carter is a combat veteran who served in Afghanistan and Iraq. He is seen as an up-and-comer among Nebraska Republicans. High-ranking members of his party have endorsed him, including Gov. Dave Heineman, Bellevue Mayor Rita Sanders and Terry.

2. Why so quiet?

This is by far the longest it has ever taken the cavers to reply to a post aimed at them!

Sorry, Steve, pal, but franksolich was asleep when you first lit this campfire, and was abed for another reason when you kicked your own thread over there on Skins's island.

Timing's everything, when it comes to drawing an audience, big guy.

So Steve Dulls wants us to do a website for this guy too?

Maybe he is an opportunist. In which case Dull has proven nothing except he is easily duped.

This guy can be a fake caonservative but so long as he passes conservative policies I'm OK with that.

The key to sensible government isn't to look for a successive series of messiahs but to incentivize opportunists to do the right thing.

First, I have a hard time believing this guy was to the left of Steve.

With that said, the fact that he once stooped so low as to become a member of the Demonrat party of hate is nothing to be proud of, but he should be commended he's seen the error of his ways. The real concern should not be about his short foray into the Demonrat party of hate but should instead be whether he retains the Demonratic's tendency to lie and hate America.

I don't know the guy so I guess I'll ask Steve.

How about it Steve? Does he hate America like the rest of you dems? Does he hate people that have worked and become successful like the rest of you dems? Does he hate our soldiers like the rest of you dems? Does he support our enemies and call them freedom fighters like the rest of you dems? Does he enjoy murdering unborn babies like the rest of you dems?

Steve, Steve. Steve.
NO ONE at CC knows who put up that website. we all loved it of course. It was the Friends of Steve Dawes. Further all they did was print quotes from you. Your posting crazy stuff at DU made all the quotes and links EASY.

Why anyone could do it. You could do it.
Step one. Search DU for all his quotes. Didn't post at DU? Then you're screwed, cause DU is a well known source of lunatic quotes. More sites than CC read your rantings. Your "Friends" could have come from any one of a 100 sites that laugh at DU.

Step Two, Make a cool website. Put all those quotes and links to music, and dance! Of course without DU quotes its pointless to get this far, but you can still have happy feet. Dance, Steve Dance!

Consolation Prize: as the only would be Politician outed for crazy DU quotes, you get to accuse people who had nothing to do with it of...complicity. All we did was laugh (and a few of us put links to "Friends" in our sig, like me).

But lets face it Steve, you always did hit the wrong target. Like when Bellvue was in financial trouble, you offered massive spending projects. You get everything backwards.

Me I think it was the gang at the Old Elm Tree who did it, but its just a guess. Or maybe it was the high school basketball girls who did it...or that car salesman.  the list of suspects just keeps growing.

The big guy lives in a small world, utterly surrounded by his ego.

That was one of the major mistakes he made when running for office; he thought he would define the issues important to the voters of Bellevue, rather than listening to the voters of Bellevue to learn what they thought was important.

That was a big, big, bad mistake.

Of course, he's just emulating the professional Democrats in doing that, Barack Milhous himself the classic case.

If it is true, as DUmmies post regularly, that people are converted to Democrat point of view in check out lines, fast food places, auto repair waiting rooms, family reunions, and so on - then it must also be true that conversion from the Dem Dark Side to the Light happens as well.  Why does this seem to be a surprise Steve?

Actually, I think the big guy got rapped on the knuckles by Skins for that.

It's not a written rule on Skins's island that conservativecave and the DUmpster can't be mentioned there, but it's a de facto unpublished rule.

Please notice how Atman yesterday (Saturday) carefully avoided breaking it, as if afraid of the Wrath of Skins.

Primitive "shout-outs" to us have been pretty rare, and I expect they're going to get even rarer, to where they don't happen at all, not even once in a blue moon.

It was much more fun during the Scamdal of 2005, although that didn't involve Skins's island; "interboard wars," decent and civilized people shouting from freerepublic, and the primitives shouting back from various other kook sites.  One had to keep two windows on the computer open at the same time.

It was a lot of fun, but I think them days are gone.

According to last Sunday's newspapers. Lee Terry (R) is 58%, his opponent (D), whose name I forget, is 31%.

This, in the bluest place in Nebraska.

The big guy's old enough to remember U.S. Senator Edward Zorinsky, one of the most worthless senators ever to come out of Nebraska, even though while in office (1977-1986; he died) he made current U.S. Senator Ben Nelson look like a flaming liberal.

Ed was mayor of Omaha, and a big (R).  In 1976, a Senate seat opened up, and he wanted to run for it.

However, people wiser and smarter than him decided it'd be better to have another candidate, the then-current congressman from Omaha, John McCollister, a great guy; a nice guy, one of the nicest guys one can ever hope to meet.

So Ed changed parties, becoming a big (D), and ran for the Senate as a (D).

Ed won narrowly, because Nebraskans admire "independence," and the Republican party in Nebraska was still suffering the after-effects of Watergate.

Ed was a sour bitter old grouch.  He'd bite fingers off of infants, if he could get away with it.

But as I said, even though a (D), he mostly voted (R) in the Senate.

Nads shows up! I'm betting she read it here first and just had to add her 60 centimeters.
Furthermore she put this back on the front page! Keeping fresh the memory of Steve's greatest failure!

The oblate spheroid's lucky I saw this comment too late; I'm hitting the sack.

There's not enough time to show Vlada Mitty a side of franksolich she might not want to see.

I used to be a very far left liberal democrat too.  Whooopity dooo.  Eventually some of us get our grown up brains and a lot can change.

See, that's why I can't figure out how come the big guy's so bent out of shape over this.

People change parties all the time; and I suspect that after November 6, there's going to be a lot of (D)s turning (R), to be on the winning team.

I'm not fond of party switchers, but they've been a fact of life since the Foundation of the Republic.

The big guy tossed me a minor example, a (D) changing into an (R), while I gave him a major example, an (R) changing into a (D), the late U.S. Senator Eddie "the Zero" Zorinsky, whom Steve might remember, even though it's been a while now.  I doubt the big guy was sore about that changeover.

In fact, even though Zorinsky voted consistently the Reagan line during the 1980s, Nebraska Democrats loved him.  I'm sure Steve loved him too.

ATTENTION former LIBERAL Democrat runs as a conservative Republican just 4 years later (Keep kicked)

What will the cavers do about this? Remember the web site they put up about me when I ran for city council? They should be having a field day with this guy. He was left of me.

It's not often I do this primitive Steve, but I'll help you along on this one because what you're asking makes no sense.

What will we do about what?  Does this guy you talk about post on DU?  If not, then there's no comparison between you and him.

Another thing; he was "left of me."  You're an avowed socialist.  If this guy was further left than an avowed socialist, then I'm pretty sure it'll come out.  Your problem was you were keeping your beliefs hidden, which because you weren't telling the whole truth, is the same as a lie.  It seems everyone knows this guy ran as a Democrat in a previous race, so where's the secret?  Is he denying that he ran as a Democrat?

There's no comparison here.  You post on a board which dedicates itself to anti-American activities and wouldn't mention it, whereas this guy was a R, switched to a D, then switched back and everyone knows it.

It happened to Breitbart too.  He was big lib before it struck him that the shit just didn't make any sense.

(Also, he started listening to Rush).

It's too bad that Steve's thread fizzled out.  No fireworks or drama.  Sad trombone.

Hell, Rondald Reagan was a Democrat once upon a time.

Socialist Steve always sounds so childishly retarded in his posts.

He's like a morbidly obese, neck bearded version of Pam Dawson.

7. Oh the humanity

He has done a 180 TWICE!!! Then a Democrat, Carter thought he would be his former party's only challenger to incumbent Lee Terry in Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District. Carter then resumed being a Republican (says anything to get elected)

Based on the bolded, I don't see why you wouldn't have any problem voting for him, fatass.

I do have to wonder what Stevie's thoughts are on Arlen Specter.

Yeah.

When I got home this afternoon, I was hoping to see new material.

I'll bet my fellow alum Skins told the big guy to knock it off; that he doesn't want the primitives to have anything to do with us.

Which is fine with me; I wish the primitives would forget all about conservativecave and the DUmpster, and get back to being their natural uninhibited selves.

I never liked the idea of the primitives watching us watching the primitives, because it taints their primitive purity.

Socialist Steve is the biggest, laziest fraud on all of the Internets!

He claims he is a socialist but did he tell any of the voters in Ward 1 that? NO! He believes in socialism so much he went to lengths to not bring that fact up at all to the good voters of Ward 1.

If you believe in something, you big, lying, fraudulent nothing, you promote it, you proudly live your life by the underlying principles of your basic philosophy. And by your example you convince others.

What do you do? Lie, complain, blame others for your self-induced misery.

You are not a good person. You are a big disappointment to the planet. Hang down your head and cry.

This is the life you created, Socialist Steve, how do you judge yourself for the hash you've made of your pathetic little life?

Not only did he not tell the voters that he's a socialist, he went so far as to post that he needed to remove all of his bumper stickers so that people wouldn't know.  The primitives didn't care for that idea at all.

That's why the friends of the big guy felt obligated to jump in and help.

The friends of the big guy figured his socialism would be a winning issue in Bellevue, not merely getting him on the November ballot by coming in at least second on the primary ballot, but maybe even on the primary ballot catapaulting him to the top over the other three.

The friends of the big guy couldn't figure out why he was hiding a strong, positive, vote-getting strength of his.

Oh my.

Lurking primitives, one of them from Papillion, Nebraska (near Bellevue), are still flocking to this thead.

Maybe they're hoping to see something, but alas for them, not tonight.

<<don't have enough energy and motivation for posts that stay up only thirty seconds.

Maybe some other time.

The fact that the big guy has such friends is overwhelming proof that the Universe is an inherently good place and if Socialist Steve has problems then they are all of his own making.

The Universe has the big guy's back, as big a loser as he is. That's genuine goodness. Yet even with the overwhelming support of such an overwhelming good and kind Universe, the big guy still manages miserablerosity.

I made that word up and from the context, everyone will know what it means.
