Oh my.

And, oh.....pssst, Steve, pal, there's something we and your fellow primitives on Skins's island would like to know--it's as if you didn't trust them, the primitives, not telling them--anyway, how'd the election for union vice-president go?

‘The Fonz’ Headlines Corporate Retreat on How to Lock Out Unions

http://inthesetimes.com/working/entry/13914/the_fonz_headlines_corporate_getaway_on_how_to_lockout_unions/

The NFL referee lockout debacle, resolved yesterday after a slew of bad press for the league, has highlighted the difficulties that lockouts pose for companies. When calling in scabs so as to put the screws to employees in contract fights, employers can't always maintain the quality of their product. (Look no further than Monday night's officiating at the Seahawks-Packers game.)

In response, a shadow industry of labor relations consulting has emerged to advise companies on how to maximize productivity during lockouts. For a fee, corporations that lock out their workers can hire a service that will provide "skilled" scab replacement workers, legal support, security and even housing for the scabs.

One of these work-stoppage consultant groups, IMAC Services (which merged with AFI International as of August to become AFIMAC), held a conference on May 10-11 entitled “Navigating Your Labor & Union Landscape” at the luxury Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch in Arizona. Conference workshops and speakers advised employers how to take the necessary steps to prepare for problems with their unions.

The headliner was none other than actor Henry Winkler, a.k.a. "the Fonz."

And note that even though he's a member of a union, it may or may not be BY CHOICE.

Choice--funny word, that.

Yet it occurs to none of them that many unions jumped the shark many, many years ago.

Impotent whining in the echo chamber.  Corporate execs have every right to obtain training and advise on reacting to the various threats and challenges to their business.  This is normal and customary, DUmmies.

Having some inside information on an upcoming event in Omaha . OS might want to steer clear of it since one of the guest that will be there has sharded the TV screen with Mr. Winkler and the way he thinks he might decide that would be the perfect time to bust someones chops over an anti uninon stand taken by Mr Winkler.

I had the opportunity to meet 'The Fonz' while attending Penn State. They had him there to speak on about his book. He was a very nice and generous man. He stayed for several hours after his talk to sign autographs and get pictures taken with the people there. It was pretty cool because the one guy that was with him kept telling him they have to leave and Fonz kept telling him he isn't leaving until the last person in the room who wants an autograph and picture gets one. There was several hundred people there. He didn't charge for anything except his book, which was only $10.00. He was a great guy.
