5. Article says JoAnn's is 100% to Repukes too.

It does list some other great sources for craft supplies, including Create for Less, which I myself have used a few times.

There is both a Michael's and a JoAnn's nearby, but it looks like I'll be shopping online ony from here on out.

Shitpickles!  Foiled again by those crafty fundies!

3. If you want to protest the Hobby Lobby suit over contraceptives, sign this

Hobby Lobby: Drop your suit or I'm dropping your store

Hobby Lobby, an arts and crafts retailer founded by evangelical Christians, just announced that it's suing the government over certain women's health provisions of the Affordable Care Act--mainly, they don't want to have to provide their employees with insurance coverage for some forms of birth control, like IUDs or the morning after pill

If they win, the result could be devastating for women.

We've got to speak up. Hobby Lobby is a business like any other, and depends on its customers and good public relations to be successful. If enough of us speak out and show Hobby Lobby's Chief Executive David Green that the public is outraged by this move, they might have to back off, and it might make other companies less likely to try the same thing.
Our message to Hobby Lobby CEO David Green

"All women deserve affordable access to birth control and it's a woman's personal, medical decision on which form to use. I won’t be shopping at your store until you drop this suit, and I’ll be telling my friends to do the same."
A very dangerous precedent

The spousal unit says the phone has been ringing off the hook with complaints at her store.  She's really worried now!

No wait, no it hasn't.

Oh for God's sake.  Why does everything have to be such hyperbole?  "Devastating."  How long has it been since women were invented?  Time immemorial?  How did we ever survive, century after century, millenia after millenia, without this particular mandated freebie?

"Devastating" is when you lose your job, and you're the sole breadwinner.  "Devastating" is when someone you love dies.  The fact that you have to pay $9 per month for pills so you can boink is not devastating.

When I have to shop somewhere I don't go looking to who the company donates to.

I don't either, but when the liberal hollywood elites speak up and say something stupid, I try to remember who they are and NOT spend my hard earned money on anything they star in.

Honestly, I don't think women DESERVE access to affordable birth control. However, market forces created a situation (how much longer it lasts remains to be seen) that generic drug manufacturers make them available for $10 a pop.

It certainly doesn't help that every time a woman breaks a nail while using X,Y,Z brand of bc pills, there's a law firm waiting in the wings to file a class action law suit. Drugs have risks, even aspirin. But I guess when you've been raised in a perpetual victim hood society...

Regardless of gender, people DESERVE the world they make. And bc pills aren't the only available method out there. Condoms and foam are readily available. Hell, the condoms you can probably get at any high school nurses' office.
