Some of the more mild side effects from birth control pills and Plan B include dizziness, headaches, nausea, breast tenderness and changes in your menstrual cycle. More serious side effects specific to the birth control pill include migraines, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and blood clots. Allergic reactions have been reported after the Depo Provera shot, as well as weakness, numbness, or pain in the arms or legs and yellowing of the skin or eyes.

When did it become okay for the school nurse to dispense prescription medicine to minor children without parental consent? The school nurse won't give my kids a Tylenol for a headache, but somehow it is not a problem to give out Plan B and hormone based birthcontrol?

Thank God minors still need permission to take their asthma medicine, cold medicine, get tattoos or piercings.  But hey, who cares as long as abortifacients are free and easy to get.

There are reported cases of Plan B being used where the woman did not know she had an ectopic pregnancy. Because the child did not properly implant in the uterus it remains in the fallopian tubes where it decays, leading to sepsis. Sepsis can be fatal.

You cannot give a child an aspirin but you can give them an abortion pill.

And without a parent's knowledge?

And Democrats say that Republicans legislate morality?

Also diabetes and plan B don't mix.

The left argue that parents can opt out but they have to sign a opt out slip brought home by the child. A kid who would most likely get pregnant would probably not bring the opt out paperwork home. I think it should be an opt IN not an opt OUT. Better yet, the school has no place to do this and shouldn't be handling this. I thought this was what planned parenthood was for.  :whatever:

If I found out my school district was doing this, whether with or without parental consent, I would file a criminal complaint against the school nurse by name for practicing medicine without a license and illegally dispensing medication.

The Democrats say that Republicans legislate amorality?  I don't think that is accurate.
