Romney on 60 Minutes tonight:
(PELLEY) Now you made, on your investments, personally, about $20 million last year. And you paid 14% in federal taxes. That's the capital gains rate. Is that fair to the guy who makes $50,000 and paid a higher rate than you did?
(ROMNEY) It is a low rate. And one of the reasons why the capital gains tax rate is lower is because capital has already been taxed once at the corporate level, as high as 35%.
( PELLEY) So you think it is fair.
(ROMNEY) Yeah, I-- I think it's the right way to encourage economic growth-- to get people to invest, to start businesses, to put people to work.

Well DUmmies, 0bama himself admitted that all raising the cap gains taxes will do is punish the rich, it won't add a dime to revenue.

Exactly. The 'effective' rate on my gross and almost-entirely-wage-income (in the low six figures, and not able to itemize for the last couple of years due to aggressively paying down a mortgage) has been under 10%. I doubt most of the DUmmies come anywhere close to that much, and I expect the large majority of them are net takers under the many and varied transfer payments our current tax and entitlement system fosters.

I'm in a similar situation with an effective rate of about 12%.

What these people can't seem to get thru their thick heads is that THAT money is being taxed at a much higher rate than any other money in the world becuase it is FIRST taxed at the US Corporate Tax Rate AND THEN Romney (or anyone else) pays EVEN more taxes on it.

Think about that, 50% of income goes to the federal government. Let's not deal with the state taxes and just use that for every dollar a productive citizen made is stolen out of the productive sector and sent to be wasted in the public. Does that sound like the way to make a productive ans sustainable economy? Sure doesn't to me but all I have ever done is make and sell small businesses.
What the DUchebags profess is that a super successful person knows less how to make the economy improve than a useless government bureaucrat does. 1+1=POTATO.
