Title: 'Furious' report slams 'disregard' for public safety as DOJ officials quit

A bombshell report released Wednesday on Operation Fast and Furious faulted a range of federal agencies for the failed anti-gunrunning program and accused officials in charge of a "disregard" for public safety. In the wake of the report, one Justice Department official resigned and another retired.

The sprawling report by the department's inspector general is the most comprehensive account yet on the deadly operation which allowed weapons to "walk" across the U.S.-Mexico border and resulted in hundreds of firearms turning up at crime scenes in both countries.

The report says Attorney General Eric Holder was not made aware of potential flaws in the program until February of last year. But the report cites 14 other department employees -- including Criminal Division head Lanny Breuer -- for potential wrongdoing, recommending the department consider disciplinary action against them.

I don't for one single second think that Holder was completely blind to this issue.

Let me get this right.

The Justice Department's IG - who reports to the Attorney General - wrote a report basically exonerating the AG?

And WHO does the IG report to? The AG?

Yeah, that's what I thought.

If Romney is elected, I would not be too sure of that. Indict a few lower level employees and see if they rat on the top dogs.

I would love to see that race bait-er in a cell with skinheads. Fresh meat.

I prefer to view it a different way:
1) Holder is so incompetent that he didn't see this going on, therefore, he needs to resign.
2) Holder was cut out of the details by O ordering the field agents around, which means Holder was incompetent and needs to resign.
3) If the details of F&F never got high enough to cross Holder's desk or higher, O illegally asserted executive privilege in order to cover up wrongdoings by his subordinates, meaning he subverted the Constitution.

I believe this bullshit with every scintilla of my being, same as I am sold on the idea that the Barry's birth certificate copy is true, Martians have invaded Earth and the Muzzies are a peace lovin' folk. :whatever:

OF COURSE the criminal attorney general, who ought to be residing in a federal prison along with "Tax Lovin'" Timmy Geithner, is a @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@criminal who KNEW about the operation ahead of time.  Too damn bad for Terry that he wasn't one of Holder's "people", or he may have never met his end in such a ****ed up Obama driven operation as Fast & ****ed.

The good news is now the damage done by the program is public record.  If Issa can prove Holder knew before the report claims he did the whole thing blows up in his face.

Anything Issa can prove, the MSM can "disprove" by charging him with the high crimes of racism and Republicanism.

Looks like Holdem (the prick) skated.

Not because he was actually innocent, it was because the people directly under him took the bullet for him intentionally.

Hi,

I think we need to look at reality.  Much like Clinton did at the end of his term, if BO gets booted, he could easily pardon Holder from any wrongdoing....

What does he have to lose at that point?

The history of blamo appointing a crooked AG, confirming that both of them are lying bastards, and opening investigations into everthing blammo did.

But that's only my opinion.

Inspector General Report on Fast and Furious Leaves Biggest Questions Unanswered (http://pjmedia.com/blog/inspector-general-report-on-fast-and-furious-leaves-biggest-questions-unanswered/)

Both reactions dishonestly reflect the contents of the 483-page report. It neither clears Attorney General Eri Holder or any of his subordinates of possible criminal action nor addresses possible synchronicity between the gunrunning plot and the desires of key cabinet-level officials to enact gun-control measures.

The report actually spends just 194 pages discussing Operation Fast and Furious itself, after spending considerable time exonerating Bush-era officials from Democratic and Obama administration claims that they ran a similar operation.

The good info they needed to hang Holder is covered in the Executive Privy.

Yes, I used the word privy which used to mean 'shithouse'. Ain't that where Obama has usually been hiding his/their shit?

From ABC news  :o

Quote
Asked about the Fast and Furious program at the Univision forum on Thursday, President Obama falsely claimed that the program began under President George W. Bush.

“I think it’s important for us to understand that the Fast and Furious program was a field-initiated program begun under the previous administration,” the president said. “When Eric Holder found out about it, he discontinued it. We assigned a inspector general to do a thorough report that was just issued, confirming that in fact Eric Holder did not know about this, that he took prompt action and the people who did initiate this were held accountable.”

In actuality, the Fast and Furious program was started in October 2009, nine months into the Obama presidency.
