I've observed this behavior before (see my Skinner Box post). As the panic ramps up they go into overdrive.

All those who have 'spontaneously converted' will convert right back the next time they fill up their gas tank. And the primitives made thread after thread about how Obama is responsible for gas prices since about June, 2012..
Memory lane, lurking primitives.

3. Here's the REAL reason why they're staying quiet
Forbes.com, 4/17/2012: President Obama unveiled a plan Tuesday to increase regulatory oversight of oil markets to limit the “illegal manipulation, fraud, and market rigging†that have contributed to gas price increases. Citing many Americans’ pain at the pump, the President asked Congress for an additional $52 million for the CFTC to clamp down on speculators...
Obama also called for harsher civil and criminal penalties for manipulation in key energy markets. Fines would be increased to $10 million, from $1 million currently, along with “a new toughened penalty structure for market manipulation in energy markets.â€

My straight-up red Republican coworker today said...
When I asked her if she had seen Mitt Romney's hidden video:
She looked mad as hell and said, "What the hell is wrong with him?!!"
She told me she will not vote for him now.
(I wanted to throw a party!!)
You gotta laugh.
Aerows thinks it will turn Mississippi purple all by it's little self.

I'm a liberal that is a registered voter in Mississippi
If you think I will give up this state to Republicans, you are dreaming. I realize that many in this state live in the 1950's, but some of us that got transplanted here are liberal to the core and will never give up the fight.
I might be liberal in a Red State, but I'm still liberal.
Every vote counts.

Take your sorry f'n ass back to the hellhole from which you came then, DUmbass. Mississippi does NOT need your sorry ass. Oh, and die on the way back.

No shit. Mississippi is already screwed up enough, add a liberal to the mix and it's hopeless. :-)

They're here to tell us how they did it back up north and how great it was up there.
WELL THEN, IF IT WAS SO GREAT, WHY DIDN'T YOU STAY THE F**K UP THERE.

Yeah that's the way it works when the komrades from kalifornia move somewhere too. If the future was so glorious in kalifornia, why did you move out komrade?
The sad thing for a native Californian is that no matter how may kali-kommies move out there are 1.5 kommies to replace them.

These reports of rethugs converting to socialism remind me of how, during the years-long height of the Great Bush Prosperity, DUmpmonkeys would line up to report how empty their local shopping malls were.
