Blood Type Diet
Anyone know anything about this book about blood types and food? I am somewhat of a diet book collector, just wondered if it is worth the investment.

1. I've never heard of it before.
Most of D’Adamo’s supplements and cures he has for sale have no scientific evidence proving their effectiveness.

^^wonders if the antagonistic primitive's fissures are all healed up now, and if she's since added considerable fiber and roughage to her diet, so it won't happen again.

2. Yeah, my doctor mentioned that certain foods are not so good for Type O's like me, but I am hesitant to throw money away on something that doesn't help my health.
Anybody know?

I think it is silly diet. Supposedly those with Type O blood aren't supposed to eat pork, bacon, avocados, cashews, cauliflower, cabbage, oranges, strawberries, blackberries dairy, or grains, plus a whole bunch of other food.. I bet that i would lose weight if I did go on the diet, because it would essentially be a low carb diet for me, which is good for weight loss. However, I would rather enjoy all the "forbidden" foods in moderation.

Not that there is any correlation but my mom was type O and there was a whole bunch of foods that made her sick. Pretty much everything on your list except blackberries did.

Type O+ being the most common blood type it's a safe bet that many folks are eating those foods on a regular basis.

One would think a self-proclaimed collector would have some knowledge whether/not whatever it is they collect is worth the investment.
Unless this is another DUmmy along the line of gNads, a self-proclaimed trained historian, high ranking fencer, among countless other things.

I'm O negative, and I'll eat anything that doesn't bite me back - except hot stewed tomatoes..........(http://fullsizebronco.com/forum/images/smilies/emot-barf.gif)
I really, really love rare, still mooing, prime rib!

My thought is "I'll eat anything that doesn't eat me first".
Buddy of mine loves his steaks rare also. Usually orders them by saying "Lope off it's horns , wipe it's butt, walk it past the stove and send it out". :lmao:

Oh cool! another person who's 0-, our blood is the 2nd rarest blood type, but for some reason our blood type is considered great as far as donating goes because our blood can be used for other blood types.

If I had "O" blood. I could be someones son. :whistling:

I'm O+ and I've read before what I should and shouldn't eat.
Yeah, I eat the stuff I shouldn't and don't eat what I should. :thatsright:
On the other hand, I'm healthy and on the small side of normal.

I do not know if it would work for fissures but I have been taking a tea made from fennel, marshmallow root, cat nip and chamomile for acid reflux. The marshmallow root is supposed to speed healing of whatever damage acid reflux does because it gets kind of thick.
I'm sure it couldn't hurt for the antagonistic primitive to try out, although I do not know if there are any scientific studies that prove it works.

O+ is a universal receptor, and O- is a universal donor. For years I was an on-call emergency donor at the Community Blood Bank in Kansas City...always donated to the patient.

Actually, AB+ is the universal recipient. Type O blood can only receive Type O. O+ can receive either O+ or O-, while O- can only receive O-.

I'm blood type O+. Although I can donate blood I can't donate/sell plasma because I was in Germany during the mad cow scare. Been 25 yrs so I assume it's a lifetime ban. :(

Exactly. That means that I can receive any blood type.

Damn it has been so many years since I had to study this stuff or even think about the subject. I never got many answers then or now as to why there is a split in blood types in humans in the first place.
If we did indeed all start out in Africa and spread upon the earth, what could have caused the change in blood types ????
First time I became pregnant was the first time I remember being tested for blood type-----My doctor was happy as I was a +, so I would not reject the blood from a father to the baby with a rejecting responce.
For years the Courts used blood types before DNA to rule out the possible or not likely parentage of a child.
Finally science developed a drug for woman to take that would stop any conflict in their body trying to reject blood that was different from theirs in + or - and effecting the mother and child. I do remember reading that in most cases the first child born would have few problems, when the second child came about the mother had built up a shall we say allergy to the fathers blood type and if the child was born there could be big problems for the child.
Once DNA came on the scene a way to scientifically link parents to a child and even go back to one ago generation to another, the blood typing thing became as remote as using leaches to draw blood.
As far as I can see here this diet is a dream of a snake oil salesman. People eat what they have at hand to survive. Blood type
has nothing to do with nutrition, it is the food that is available to us that can cause problems-----Lactose intolerance, and allergies
to some foods. Why the allergy ???? So many questions and so few answers today, perhaps tomorrow we may find reasons but I do not think blood type diets are the answers.
