Title: 9ers, 49ers, San Francisco 2012 Season Thread
Post by: Conservative_Sangfroid on September 14, 2012, 10:39:51 PM
So, one can presume that since I am posting this topic with this title that I am a 49er fan.

I am a DELUDED 9er fan as I predicted that they would win the Super Bowl every year even thru the bad years of 2000's when when they were one of the worst teams in the NFL. :stoner:

However; they have definitely rebounded and a Super Bowl appearance is hardly delusional. :yahoo:

I was confident that they would beat the Packers and I think that the only chance the Lions has is through Johnson.

But, the most overhyped part is obviously the "handshake".  Much ado about nothing methinks.

You cant win a SB with Alex Smith as your QB.

I don't think any team could be as bad as the Raiders. But, I guess the 49ers could come close. Not every team can the be the best team in the NFL, like the Steelers are  :-)

The Ravens won with Dilfer.  So maybe you are wrong.

They have some morally challenged people in the locker room though.

The ravens also had one of the best defenses of all time the 49ers defense is no where near that caliber. They can stop the run as good as anyone but their secondary is junk.

That is why they play the games.

Seems like the secondary was good enough to stop the so-called "megatron".

Probably the best run defense in history is being worked on right now in the City.

Jim Schwarz is a j.o.

So it looks like it is going to be a perfect season...based on the first two games

Did anyone hear what that weirdo Mike Ditka said on the pre-game?

That the Saints players and coaches should have kept their mouth shut.  This is the same kind of attitude that leads to almost all abuses in life...like the Sandusky thing for example.

Joe Staley O-line tweeted yesterday that the Lions weren't shit and they handled them start to finish.  I don't remember seeing even anything out of that dirty player Suh.  Cheap shot artist.

You cant win a SB with Alex Smith as your QB.

Many people have made this prediction, but the reaity is that with the brief appearance of Norv Turner for a season (and now Harbaugh) the 49ers have had a succession of crappy coaches and even hired that idiot from St. Louis' Super Bowl winning team...you know the guy that shortened, even more Warner's career.

Obviously, opposition is going to struggle to defeat Harbaugh's new/original version of the West Coast offense and during that time the 9ers should be able to eek out a SB victory or 3.

In any case the defense is one of the best in the league, and is already done some historic things.  You just can't rush on them right now.

Thus-then that lessens the pressure on the secondary because teams have to be one-dimensional...especially if the lack of a running game puts them behind they will have to throw.

And the secondary did pretty good against "megadork"

Sometimes, if not quite often, the proper thing to do is keep your mouth shut.

Wow, not such a great outing.

I have to admit that had the 9ers won with that illegitmate challenge I would have been okay with it, even though it would have robbed the better team of a victory.

I think that this just goes to show that the replacement officials are not working out. The Vikings could have very well lost the game on a mistake by the officials..

Randy Moss moved into the 4th all time in recieving yards in the loss to the Vikings.  (it was the vikings that took out Garrison Hearst years ago effectively ending 9er dominance).

Frank Gore is the all-time attempt leader for the team.

The 9ers new stadium started on its fourth level of building.  The new stadium is being built in what used to the a parking lot of Great America, built by the Marriott corporation and opened in 1976

Vick should not have been allowed back in the NFL. I, too, hope someone hurts him so bad he has to retire. I absolutely loathe that man.

I concur.

I think that Reid also agrees with the game plan they are giving him.

I don't know if you have a history with Lacarnut or not, but seriously when someone calls your team fruits I would think that is just normal shit talk.

If you are that offended please take this to fight club.

Thanks.

I was just poking fun at his team that resides in the land of fruits and nuts. He exploded and wrote me a vile pm. Check it out. I will pick this immature punk apart if he wants to go to the fight club club cause he can not structure a sentence without using filthy language.

Arent we being a bit hard on Sangfroid, watching the "best run defense of all time" give up a long TD run to Christian Ponder could drive anyone to madness.
