Oh my.
It's not a particularly good night on Skins's island, the primitives more-than-usually full of Hate and rage and anger--they know what's coming down, and don't like it at all--and so I decided to check out the little forums.

This goes with the beard thread - who dyes their hair to get rid of gray?
The beard looked bad because it was so gray. As were my temples. Debate shaving the beard off, even posted a Lounge thread.
Damn, I got brave and bought "Just For Men" like half a shade darker than my normal blond/brown. Both for the beard and hair. Then I completely disregarded the bit about testing for allergies first and just did it last night.
Damn if I don't look like 6-8 years younger! I like it. and I like the look of the beard, just shaved it up a little bit off the neck past the chin line. I think it looks pretty good on me. And I love not having to shave every day.
So, if I break out in a horrible rash, my fault, but I doubt it, no problems so far.

1. Nah - going proudly bald, and proudly gray....actually, beard is getting white!
whatever happens, happens....
Yeah, whatever happens, happens; that's franksolich's philosophy too.
It hasn't happened yet that franksolich has any grey hair, even though in theory I've been long overdue for it.

3. I saw the "just for men, just for beards stuff".
I then found the stuff for "hair" hair
But I didn't find any for ears, backs, chests, underarms or legs, so I said **** it and lived with the gray.

4. It works just fine on gray chest hair.
Trust me, I tried it, it worked.
That's one way where franksolich got robbed by nature.
<<has, maybe, eight chest hairs.

5. I must be a prehistoric creature of some sort as I can't figure out why women dye their hair let alone men.
If it works for you go fir it.

7. I started finding gray hairs when I was 20. Now, I'm getting pretty gray. But I don't look old, at least, I don't think I look old. I'm not gonna get carded at the liquor store, but I think I look fairly young. Other than the gray hair.
I've thought about it, even though I'm actually settling in with the gray thing. But every once in a while I see a picture of myself and go "holy ****!" and think about it again.

I thought NRL was a woman.
Probably still is, I suppose. We already had that discussion this week.

Or you could just do like me and shave it off.
As much as Scoobie hates it, I kinda like the Walt White look:

I've wanted to shave my head for some time now. My wife doesn't want me to. Yet, my wife thinks that I look better when I have my hair (what hair I have) short.

I got my first grey hair at 19. By 30 I was about half grey. By 40 I had more grey hair than my mother and grandmother. I thought about coloring it once then disregarded the idea. I would figure once you dye it the first time that you have to keep doing it or end up looking two-tone until it grows all the way out. That's just too much trouble.

Meh.
My hair is almost completely grey. It started down that road when I was about 18. I figure it will be white by the time I'm 50. (42 now). It is what it is.

That's the way it should be; people should just relax, and adapt to the way God and nature made them.
One can usually detect that hair color's fake anyway; there's just something about it that looks not real.
But as for those purposely shaving heads, no way. One has hair for a reason perhaps not decipherable to us, and so one should leave it alone, only cutting or trimming it.

I'm in my late 60's here and beginning to get the gray around the edges. I've got 2 sisters and they have both been white headed for years....they hate me. :-)

I was 12/13 years old and listening to a bunch of old men talking. For some reason the discuss turned to losing ones teeth and hair. One old man piped up with how he thought mother nature had it all backwards. As a man aged, he lost his hair and his teeth, both things he really needed to keep. He needed his teeth so he could eat and he needed his hair to keep his head warm in winter and shaded in summer. What they decided should happen was that a man should keep his hair and teeth and lose something he didn't need or use any more....his balls. :lmao:
