(Reuters) - Hundreds of Yemeni demonstrators stormed the U.S. embassy in Sanaa on Thursday in protest at a film they consider blasphemous to Islam, and security guards tried to hold them off by firing into the air.

"We can see a fire inside the compound and security forces are firing in the air. The demonstrators are fleeing and then charging back," one witness told Reuters.

Witnesses said there were some injuries on both sides but gave no exact figures.

It's time to "medievalize" our embassies in those portions of the world. Moats, thick walls, Single gate in and out, entrapment areas with automatic weapons with interlocking fields of fire, etc. Also, we need a ROE that as soon as the gates are breached, it's weapons free on anyone carrying anything that could cause bodily harm.

Our first amendment rights are also under attack ....even from those sworn to protect them. Now, did the Chairman of the joint chiefs of staff do this to protect soldiers in the mideast OR was he ordered to do it by the CNC? I don't know. I can see it coming from both.

When telling the truth about your prophet is extremely insulting to you, maybe you should consider changing religions....Oh, that's right...you can't change your religion, the religion of peace will kill you.

or we could remove our embassies altogether and declare those countries what that are, enemies of the USA.

Color me naive, but I always assumed we did have that.

Apparently not, since the Marines in Egypt didn't have any ammo...

IIRC, the Marines in Beirut had the same hand tied behind their backs...  :thatsright:

What was it that somebody said about those who failed to learn from history... :confused:

WTF?  Does the U.S. Ambassador to Egypt think the Marines are Barney Fife?  At least Barney was allowed to carry one bullet with him, just not loaded into his gun. (http://freebeacon.com/reports-marines-not-permitted-live-ammo/)

What's wrong with allowing about a dozen M2 Brownings and 3 rooms full of ammo in the embassy? "Just in case"

What the Marines are supposed to have are;

MSGs do qualify with the M9 Beretta and M870 Shotgun.
